🎺 Every so often someone asks how a seven-mile road race ended up named after a jazz musician. Davenport just happens to claim both. So tell us: what is on your Bix playlist? The song that gets you up the hill. 🎶

Congratulation to Clayton Young, top American finisher and 7th overall at today’s Bank of America Chicago Marathon! 👏 Bix fans will remember him from 2023, when he took 2nd on our course.

And congratulations to every runner who crossed the finish line in Chicago today. What an accomplishment! 💙

📍 Bix hands out anniversary pins at 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years. Some of you have a drawer full. Show us your pins and tell us the year you started. 👇

⏱️ Everlyn Kemboi's 35:30 in July was the third-fastest women's time in Bix 7 history. She finished nine seconds off Mary Keitany's 2016 course record of 35:18. Nine seconds, over seven miles, on that course. 🔥 Think the record falls in 2027?

Usually, we’re a 7-mile kind of crowd… but today, we’re going 9 to 5! 🎶💖 In honor of Dolly Parton Day, we’re spreading a little extra Bix-style joy!

📸 Show us your best Bix grin - finish-line smile, goofy grin, or that “I survived the Bix 7” look. Drop yours in the comments!

As Dolly says, “If you see someone without a smile, give ’em yours!”
