We are inviting **everyone in our community — local businesses, families, friends, neighbors, alumni and supporters — to come out and support our 4-H & FFA exhibitors!**

These kids have spent countless hours raising, feeding, caring for, training and preparing their livestock projects for fair. The **Junior Livestock Auction** is their opportunity to see that hard work pay off — and your support can make a HUGE difference! ❤️

For many of these kids, their livestock projects teach responsibility, work ethic, agriculture, financial management and dedication. Money earned through the sale often goes toward next year’s projects, college, future goals and continuing their involvement in agriculture.

🇺🇸🐴 **CALLING ALL LOCAL HORSEMEN & HORSEWOMEN!** 🐴🇺🇸

The **Lincoln County Fair & Rodeo** is opening up the opportunity to carry flags during the **Rodeo Grand Entry** to our local men and women!

We’re looking for riders who:

⭐ Have **experience carrying a flag in a Grand Entry**
⭐ Have a **safe, experienced horse** that is comfortable in a rodeo atmosphere
⭐ Have a **black long-sleeve shirt** to wear
⭐ Want to proudly represent our community and help kick off the rodeo! 🇺🇸

🐴 **PLEASE NOTE:** We will be holding a **flag practice on Wednesday prior to the Fair** so riders and horses can get comfortable and prepared before the Grand Entry.

2026 Fair Shavings Information – Large Animals

We want to give everyone a heads-up about a change to how shavings will be handled at this year’s Fair.

Due to rising costs, we will be moving to a monitored shavings system for Large Animals in 2026.

Here’s how it will work:

Wednesday evening following check-in: Bulk shavings will be available for exhibitors for stalls in the Silver Horse Barn, while supplies last.
Shavings tickets: Each entry will receive 2 tickets per animal.
Daily shavings: Tickets may be redeemed at a rate of 1 ticket per bale of shavings during the remainder of the show.
Pick-up time: Shavings will be available each morning from 6:30–7:30 a.m.
Need more shavings? If you need additional shavings beyond what your entry provides, you are welcome to bring your own or purchase additional shavings through the Fair Office.

Poultry & Rabbits:
This change does not apply to Poultry or Rabbits. Shavings will continue to be available in their respective barns.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to manage rising costs while continuing to provide a great experience for our exhibitors and animals.

Update 8/6/2026: The previous post as been updated for the Swine department only.

Important Reminder for Swine Exhibitors and Families

Please note that our Fair is a terminal fair. If a swine is brought to weigh-in and meets the required market sale weight, it must go through the livestock sale. Unless it is livestock that is only being shown in the breeder class.

Market-weight livestock cannot be entered as prospect animals in a feeder class. The feeder class has been added to the fair to allow underweight animals to still be shown.

Families who wish to retain ownership of their livestock may purchase it back through the sale. However, please understand that competitive bidding may result in a final purchase price that exceeds the floor price.
