Hello campers!
Camp director James (aka ) here. It’s one week after Showcation and naturally we’re feeling sentimental. Our team is finally home and recovering from the insanity of last weekend. 1000 campers pulled up and turned Camp Ramblewood into a beautifully chaotic 3 days and nights, and we’re still trying to process WTF happened.
Showcation has always been about creating a world where adults can experience spontaneous, unforced connection. A place where you can arrive solo and leave with 10 new friends. A place with a seemingly endless number of side quests, where you can become a megafan for your camp team, stumble into a wild house party, and see a killer standup set all in the same night. A place where you can be fully present with a group of complete strangers, yet somehow have it feel perfect and familiar.
We scaled up in a big way this year and, as usual, decided to bite off A LOT as a team - from building a new Olympics stadium, to adding a new house band and pro MC (shoutout camp daddy), to upgrading our main stage, to making a new General Store and marketplace, to upleveling pretty much all of our activities across the board in true summer camp fashion, and so much more. We work hard to give campers an experience that grows and evolves every year (and every day throughout the Showcation weekend), so returning campers always have more to explore - and even more they wish they had time to.
