🚨 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
Some bands stay in one lane. Strange Machines prefer to drive straight through the guardrails.
We’re fired up to welcome to Kinfolk Music & Arts Festival 🌲🚀
This is the part of the day where things start getting exploratory. Deep grooves, controlled chaos, massive improvisation and the kind of live energy that can take a mountain festival into another dimension real quick. And let’s just say… there may be a familiar voice joining them for a certain new song 👀
New England quartet Strange Machines have spent the last 15 years pushing their way to the forefront of the East Coast jam scene—not by fitting in, but by blurring the lines entirely. Fusing rock, funk, reggae, livetronica and other genres into a sound that refuses to sit still, the band thrives in the space between structure and spontaneity.
Their live shows are immersive and unpredictable—built on tight musicianship, but driven by risk, chemistry, and the willingness to go somewhere new every night.
On stage, Strange Machines don’t just play songs—they stretch them, reshape them, and pull the audience into the process. It’s controlled chaos in the best way: intricate compositions collide with deep improvisation, creating a set that feels as alive as it is precise.
They’ve shared stages with heavy-hitters like The Disco Biscuits, Twiddle, Dopapod, Papadosio, Goose, The Motet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Spafford, lespecial, Neighbor, EOTO, Turkuaz, Kung Fu, TAUK, and Deep Banana Blackout—but Strange Machines aren’t riding coattails. They’ve built something of their own.
