Saturday was one for the books. ๐ŸŒฒ

We had an incredible turnout for our second PM2HR Preview Run, and even with the heat and humidity, the energy on the trails was amazing. A little rain even rolled in to give everyone a welcome break from the heat.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out to experience the trails with us. One of our favorite parts of the morning was watching complete strangers connect on the trail and leave saying, โ€œIโ€™ll see you on race day.โ€ Thatโ€™s exactly the kind of community we hope PM2HR creates.

And a very special thank you to Cyndi and LOWA for joining us with their shoe demo and swag, and for going above and beyond by setting up an aid station to keep runners hydrated.

From runners sharing the trail to a participant stashing coolers of water along the route, Saturday was a perfect reminder that PM2HR is about so much more than the miles.

Thank you for being part of it. Weโ€™ll see you on race day!

Gear Talk: Trail Shoes ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

Your shoes are one of the most important pieces of gear you'll bring to PM2HR, but there isn't one "right" shoe for the course.

Look for something that feels comfortable over long miles, gives you the traction you need on trail, and works well with your feet. Most importantly, spend some time training in them so you know how they feel when the miles start adding up.

If you're new to trail running, this is a great place to start experimenting with what works for you.

What shoes are you training in for PM2HR? Drop them in the comments. You might give another runner their next pair to try!

LOWA is coming back to the trails! ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

We're excited to welcome LOWA back to our PM2HR Preview Run this Saturday for another shoe demo.

If you've been curious about trying a different trail shoe, this is a great chance to get out on the course and put LOWA shoes to the test while you run.

LOWA has joined us for our preview runs over the past couple of years, and we're happy to have them back for another morning on the trails.

Come run, try something new, and see what works for you.

We'll see you Saturday! ๐ŸŒฒ

Help us build the PM2HR aid station crew! ๐Ÿค

Our aid stations are a huge part of race day, and we're still looking for volunteers to help keep runners fueled, supported, and moving toward Hanging Rock.

And if you're part of a run club, there's an extra incentive:
Volunteer together and earn Club Cup points!

๐Ÿ‘ฅ 2 club members volunteering together = 12 Club Cup points

๐Ÿ•๏ธ Adopt an aid station by covering all of its volunteer positions and help your club make an even bigger impact on race day.

It's a great way to support your fellow runners, spend race day with your club, and help make PM2HR happen.

Interested in volunteering or having your club adopt an aid station? Sign up through the PM2HR website or reach out to us for more information.

Let's fill those aid stations! ๐ŸŒฒ

Course Tip: Train your hiking. โ›ฐ๏ธ

Not every mile at PM2HR is meant to be run, and that's okay.

Strong hikers often make up just as much time as strong runners on long climbs. Practice power hiking during your long runs, save your energy, and trust your pace.

Sometimes the smartest move is to hike with purpose so you can run stronger later.

Some adventures are even better with a team ๐Ÿค

Not everyone wants to tackle 50 miles solo, and that's exactly why PM2HR offers a Relay option.

Split the course with friends, cheer each other on along the way, and experience the journey from Pilot Mountain to Hanging Rock together.

Need teammates? We've got you covered.

What a great way to kick off our summer preview runs!

We had 10-12 runners join us to explore part of the PM2HR course, with most taking on the 20-mile route. It was awesome to see a mix of first-time participants and returning runners sharing the trail together.

One of our favorite moments? A runner drove all the way from Florida the night before just to join the preview run. That's the kind of excitement and community that makes PM2HR so special.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, and to our Trivium Community Team for helping make the morning a success.

Missed this one? Don't worry! Our next preview run is August 15, and we'd love to see you there.

See you on the trails!

Gear Talk: Hydration vests ๐ŸŽ’

Every trail runner has their own setup.
Some carry soft flasks.
Some prefer a bladder.
Some pack everything they might need. Others keep it as light as possible.

What's your go-to hydration vest, and why?
