With this final check to Friends of Sauratown Mountains the chapter of SwimRun NC is now completely closed. The Friends of Sauratown Mountains do great trail work at Hanging Rock State Park, Pilot Mountain State Park and Sauratown Mountains and it is great to support their work.

We are indeed ending our run that started in 2016. We loved hanging out with you and seeing your smiling faces upon reaching the finish. We also loved all the kind words you shared with us over the years. We are also glad that many of you found the entry to the cool SwimRun sport through us and are now hooked. But here we are - at our finish line. Hugs to you all.

First impressions from the final SwimRun NC and it was a glorious day. Thank you all for the love and support over the years. Professional pics soon to follow

We picked up the cards from the amazing kids at Whitaker Elementary school, made sure all is well at the Green Heron Alehouse, checked the water temps and they were about 63 in the lake and the river, cleaned up trails on the lower section of the course so we would not get blamed, made sure the trails look good (and they do) and noticed all kinds of people sitting in the river already without a wetsuit. So keep that in mind
