Notice: Unfortunately, due to extenuating circumstances, Senator Julie Kushner will no longer be able to join us for our community conversation this Saturday. However, we are thrilled to announce that we will be joined by State Representative Savet Constantine.

Savet Constantine represents Connecticut’s 42nd District, which includes Wilton as well as parts of New Canaan and Ridgefield. She serves as Vice Chair of the Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee and as a member of the Energy & Technology and Education Committees. She is passionate about ensuring excellence and safety in schools, protecting women’s reproductive freedom, enhancing services for seniors, fostering economic growth, and continuing to cut taxes.
Constantine brings a wealth of volunteer experience from Wilton Public Schools, where she served as Wilton High School PTSA President (2016–2019), Middlebrook PTA President (2013–2015), and multiple roles within the Wilton PTA Council. Through these efforts, she clearly informed the community of budget initiatives, artistic and literary achievement, and vital communication between parents and school administration.

As Nominations Chair for the Wilton Democratic Town Committee, Constantine led a town-wide outreach effort to identify skilled residents to serve on various boards and commissions, keeping community service at the forefront. Contantine’s track record of finding bipartisan solutions has ensured that her local communities continue to flourish.

Constantine was raised in Minnesota and earned her B.A. from Carleton College and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. She and her husband, Craig, have called Wilton home since 2004 with their two children.

Please join us following the 2pm matinee performance of POTUS on May 9th for the community conversation with the director, student dramaturgs, and special guest State Representative Savet Constantine.

One four-letter word is about to rock 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. When the President unwittingly spins a PR nightmare into a global crisis, the seven brilliant and beleaguered women he relies upon most risk life, liberty, and the pursuit of sanity to keep the commander-in-chief out of trouble. This uproarious play is a riotous comedy about the women in charge of the man in charge of the free world.

“POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Du***ss Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive” opens May 1st at the Visual and Performing Arts Center at WCSU. For tickets and more information, visit westrepstage.org.

WestRep Stage and the WCSU Theatre Arts Department are saddened to hear of the loss of Russell Garrett, an amazing director, choreographer, and teacher. Russell directed and choreographed Legally Blonde in 2024 and Something Rotten in 2023. He will forever be remembered as someone who led with kindness and brought out the best in those who were fortunate enough to work with him. We are sending love to Russell’s family in this difficult time.

With love and gratitude, the WCSU Theatre Arts family.
