❤️🔥 🎁🥳💝 Happy 19th Birthday to My Daughter! 💖💕🎂🫶🏿
I was 19 when I had you, and now you’re 19 yourself, away at a university building your own future.
Matter of fact, my mom was 19 when she had her first child, and her oldest child was 19 living in California when she became a mother too.
We made it. It’s something about that 19. 🙏🏽🙏🏾
Some people didn’t think I should raise you. They thought you’d be better off somewhere else.
Truth is, I was terrified when I found out I was having you. I wasn’t ready.
I was a high school dropout, in and out of jail, running the streets, fighting, doing criminal activities, getting high and wasted, with no give-A.F. in the world.
When I found out I was having a baby, and a little girl at that 😨😣 I was terrified all over again.
I wondered how a rough kid like me could ever be a father to someone so pure and innocent.
You didn’t deserve that, but you were an angel in disguise. 😇
God gave me you to save my life, and I wholeheartedly believe that. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Because of you, I found direction, purpose, and a reason to grow up and live right.
You’ll always be the blessing that changed my life’s direction forever.
Because of you, I finally saw things from my parents’ point of view. I understood them more.
I realized the pain, worry, praying, and tiredness I put my mom through.
If you ever acted even 5% of how I did back then, I would’ve dropped you off at the zoo. 😅
Because of you, I traded the streets for being an active, present father.
Because of you, I learned that “Fatherhood is the only hood worth claiming.”
Shout-out to Unc Jo, aka for the movement. 🔥
Happy 19th Birthday, Kayla - K, my Forest Lane child. “Gang Gang” lol 😆
You’ll always be my reminder that God gives second chances. ❤️
All angels don’t have wings. 😇🪽
P.S. You were a wonderful child who never really gave me a hard time. ✊🏿💪🏾🥳🫶🏿
