የፌዴሬሽኑ የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ ከሐሙስ ሚያዝያ ፳፪ - ፳፬ ድረስ በፊታችን ጁላይ በሜኒሶታ ለሚደረገው ፵፫ኛው ዓመታዊ ዝግጅት የስራ ሂደቶችን ለመገምገም ወደ አዘጋጇ ከተማ ገብቶ ነበር:: በቆይታውም ከአዘጋጁ ሆቴል: ስቴድየም እና ሌሎች ከዝግጅቱ ጋር የተገናኙ ሂደቶችን ገምግሟል:: ዝግጅቱም በጥሩ ሁኔታ እየተካሄደ እንደሚገኝ ግንዛቤ ላይ ተደርሷል::

በፕሬዚዳንት ተካበ ዘውዴ የሚመራው የፌዴሬሽኑ ስራ አስፈጻሚ ከከወናቸው ዋና ጉዳዮች አንዱ ከሚኒሶታ ኢትዮጵያውያን ጋር ስብሰባ ማካሄድ ነበር:: በእርግጥም ከሚኒሶታ ማህበረሰብ ጋር ልብ የሚነካ ስብሰባ ተካሂዷል::

የኢትዮጵያ ስፖርት ፌዴሬሽን በሰሜን አሜሪካ የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት ዛሬ ቅዳሜ ጠዋት ብሉሚንግተን: ሚኒሶታ በሚገኘው ኤምባሲ ስዊትስ ሆቴል ውስጥ ወደ ፹ (80) ከሚጠጉ የማህበረሰብ አባላት ጋር ተገኝተዋል።

ስብሰባው ያተኮረው በ፵፫ኛው ዓመታዊ ውድድር ዝግጅት ላይ ሲሆን ውድድሩ ከሰኔ ፳ - ፳፯ (June 27 - July 4 202) ኢጋን: ሚኒሶታ በሚገኘው ቲሲኦ ስታዲየም (TCO Stadium at Vikings Lakes) ይካሄዳል።

ዘጠኙም የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት ተገኝተዋል፦ ፕሬዚዳንት ተካበ ዘውዴ፣ ምክትል ፕሬዚዳንት ዳንኤል እጅጉ፣ ፀሐፊ ዮሴፍ ጥላሁን፣ የሖሳብ ሹም መኳንንት መንግስቴ፣ ገንዘብ ያዥ ኤልያስ መለስ፣ የህዝብ ግንኙነት ኃላፊ ያሬድ ነጋሽ፣ የንግድ ስራ አስፈጻሚ ሙላት መለሰ፣ የውድድር አስተባባሪ መንግስቱ ሁሴን፣ እና ውስጥ ኦዲተር ዳግም ጸጋዬ።

በስብሰባው በዝግጅቱ ስቴዲየም ውስጥ ንግድ ለሚያካሂዱ የሚያስፈልጉ የምዝገባ ሂደቶች፣ የስታዲየም ደንቦች፣ የምግብ እና የመጠጥ ፖሊሲዎች፣ እንዲሁም አጠቃላይ የውድድር ዝግጅቶች በዝርዝር ተብራርተዋል። ተሳታፊዎች ጥያቄዎቻቸውን በነፃነት አቅርበው ከኮሚቴ አባላት አጥጋቢ ምላሽ አግኝተዋል።

ስብሰባው በልዩ ስሜታዊ አጋጣሚዎች ተከብሮ አልፏል። የሒሳብ ሹም መኳንንት መንግስቴ ስለ ውድድሩ ወደ ሚኒሶታ መምጣት ሲናገሩ በስሜት ተውጠው እንባቸውን መቆጣጠር አልቻሉም — ይህ ዝግጅት ለሚኒሶታ ኢትዮጵያውያን ማህበረሰብ ትልቅ ትርጉም እንዳለው ያሳያል።

ከዚህም በላይ ከተሳታፊዎች አንዷ ፕሬዘዳንት ተካበ ዘውዴን ከ፵ (40) ዓመት በፊት ድሬዳዋ ላይ ከሚያውቁት ሰው ጋር ለይተው በማወቃቸው ሁለቱ በስሜት ተቃቅፈዋል — ይህ ቅጽበት በክፍሉ ውስጥ ያሉትን ሁሉ ልብ ነክቷል። በተጨማሪም ብዙ ተሳታፊዎች ፕሬዚዳንት ተካበን በኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ የእግር ኳስ ቡድን ተጫዋችነታቸው ያስታውሷቸዋል።

በስብሰባው ላይ የተገኙ ነጋዴዎች ለውድድሩ ያላቸውን ከፍተኛ ፍላጎት እና ቁርጠኝነት ገልጸዋል። በተለይም ሚኒሶታ ለፌዴሬሽኑ ውድድር ያላትን ብቃት ለማሳየት እና ድርጅቱ ወደፊትም እንዲመለስ ለማድረግ ያላቸውን ቆራጥ ፍላጎት አሳይተዋል።

፵፫ኛው ዓመታዊ ውድድር ከእግር ኳስ በተጨማሪ የሙዚቃ ትርኢት፣ የባህል ፕሮግራም፣ እና የንግድ ኤግዚብሽን ያካትታል — ሁሉም ለሜኒሶታ ውድድር በተመረጠው መሪ ቃል በ”ኢትዮጵያዊነት ኩራት ነው!” መርህ ስር።

Minnesota will host its maiden tournament.

ESFNA has organized its historic event in some of the best stadiums in North America, including the Seattle Seahawks, the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the RFK in Washington, DC and the University of Maryland stadium.

This year will be no exception.

ESFNA Remembers Aschalew Dessie

Ethiopian legendary football player Aschalew Dessie passed away on April 11, 2026. Aschalew Dessie will be remembered as one of the most gifted and admired footballers of his era, a player whose talent, spirit, and presence left an enduring mark on Ethiopian football. In 2016, ESFNA recognized Aschalew’s remarkable contributions to the sport by honoring him as the Guest of Honor for the annual tournament held in Toronto, Canada—a testament to the respect and admiration he earned across generations and communities.

As a standout center forward for Awash Minch—later renamed Andinet Sport Club—Aschalew’s impact was profound. He possessed a rare combination of size, agility, and grace, making him both a commanding and elegant force on the field. Known for prolific goal-scoring and exceptional dribbling ability, Aschalew had a natural instinct in front of goal and a level of ball control that set him apart from his peers. Defenders dreaded facing him, while fans eagerly anticipated the excitement he brought every time he touched the ball.

Among the many unforgettable moments in Aschalew’s career, one stands out vividly in the memories of those who witnessed it: during a Thursday Night football match at Addis Ababa Stadium, Aschalew became the only player to score one-on-one against the legendary goalkeeper Getachew Dula. With composure and brilliance, he dribbled around the keeper and placed the ball into an empty net—a moment still spoken of with admiration and pride.

Yet Aschalew’s legacy extends far beyond individual highlights. His contributions enriched the history of Andinet Sport Club, inspired countless supporters, and brought immense joy to the Gurage community and Ethiopian football fans everywhere. He carried himself with humility, passion, and dedication, leaving behind a legacy defined not only by achievement but by character.

May his memory continue to inspire future generations, and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
