As our official kid mayor, you'll see her at Opening Ceremonies, the kids contest, kids zone, and a few surprise appearances around the festival grounds. She'll also be checking in here with official updates from the mayor's office, so stay tuned.

Wiener dog races return to Oktoberfest this October. Some of these dogs run the whole track. Some sit down halfway and take in the crowd. Both are valid strategies and both get a standing ovation.

It sits right in the middle of everything, and it tells the story of how a group of German settlers turned this spot into the town we're all about to celebrate in. The colony, the founding families, the stubbornness it took to build something here from nothing.

We're proud to announce that Edgar Veigl will serve as this year's honorary Burgermeister, leading the way as we kick off a weekend full of Bavarian fun. Few people have done more to keep Cullman's German story standing in the houses he's helped save, and in the friendship with Frankweiler he's helped keep alive. From the parade to the opening ceremonies, he'll be the first to shout "Willkommen!" and set the tone for four days of gemütlichkeit.

Join us Thursday, October 1st, at the Opening Ceremonies as Burgermeister Veigl taps the first keg and officially declares Oktoberfest underway. Auf geht's, Cullman!

44 years. that's how long Cullman has been throwing Oktoberfest.

some of y'all have been coming since the very first one in 1981. some of y'all grew up here and don't remember a single october without it. either way, year 44 kicks off October 1-4 at Depot Park and we'd love to see you there.

We're looking for the 2026 Kinderbürgermeister, kid mayor of Cullman Oktoberfest. They will be featured in fun, in-character videos, opening ceremonies, kid-friendly stein hoisting, and a few more surprises.
