Cuero's Christmas in the Park

Cuero's Christmas in the Park Open annually the Monday before Thanksgiving through New Year's Day, in Cuero Municipal Park, Cuero. flag and Penguins. Hwy. 87 S. (Broadway).

Cuero's Christmas in the Park began as Christmas in Cuero in 2000 with lighting of the Gazebo in the Cuero Municipal Park. It has grown to over 260 displays of Victorian, Western, Train, Gingerbread House and other scenes. Highlights are the 17-piece Nativity on the Lake Island, the 85-foot Paddlewheel Boat, Sea Serpent, "Peace on Earth" Globe, the 30-foot U.S. Santa and his reindeer fly over Lakeview Knoll while his elves are busy with gifts in other scenes. Watch Old Man Winter make snowflakes and Santa wish all a good night! Look for the Christmas in the Park Arch at the entrance, the Twelve Days of Christmas, and the Lighthouse on the Lake's pier. New scenes are added yearly with funds from donations. The drive through the Municipal Park is a self-guided tour with Seasonal Cutouts and Nutcrackers showing the way. Donations are gratefully accepted at the end of the tour. Christmas in the Park is located in Cuero Municipal Park off of U.S. Turn onto Fain McDougall Drive (between H-E-B AND TDECU), then turn left at E Courthouse Street, and follow the signs to the park entrance.

🎄💡 DID YOU KNOW? 💡🎄

Cuero’s Christmas in the Park is powered entirely by donations from our visitors, local businesses and generous community partners!

Admission is always free, but keeping hundreds of displays glowing year after year takes a little Christmas magic—and a whole lot of community support. Your donations help us keep the lights on…literally! 😂✨

Every gift, no matter the amount, helps us maintain the displays, replace lights and continue growing this beloved Cuero tradition.

🎅 Donate during your visit at Santa’s House at the end of the tour, online or learn more about supporting Christmas in the Park here:

🎄 Christmas Display Update 🎄

We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the delivery of the Christmas displays.

Unfortunately, the ordering window for new displays is January through March each year. The manufacturer produces and ships the displays during the summer months, which is why they are not available for immediate delivery.

If you would like to be added to our contact list for next year's ordering period, please email Samantha at [email protected]. We will be happy to notify you when the next ordering season begins.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our community's Christmas traditions!

We received some very special displays yesterday. We have a new university joining us, can you guess who?!

✨✨We have a winner! This person only came in 1023 under the official number of lightbulbs counted yesterday. 🤩Our winner with a guess of 47,899 is Brandi Rich! The actual number was 48,922 lightbulbs counted yesterday. These are all the extra lightbulbs that we have ready for this Christmas season and we still need to order approximately 10,000 more. 💚🎄✨Brandi please send us a message and we will get you your gift card.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thank you, everyone. This was fun! We have the total and will reconfirm tomorrow and announce our winner. Follow along for more fun games as we lead up to the opening of the Christmas season. 🎄💚🎄

Cuero‘s Christmas in the Park elves (Cuero Development Corporation) are preparing for our 27th season and are in the warehouse today counting lightbulbs. 💡

We would like to play a game……the closest to guess to how many lightbulbs we will count today will win a giftcard to a local restaurant here in Cuero.

Please have your guesses in by 5 PM today and we will pick the closest that does not go over.

May the odds ever be in your favor….💚

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our longtime Board Members, Mr. Alton Meyer.

Alton's dedication, kindness, and years of service helped shape Christmas in Park into the special event it is today. His presence, wisdom, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and working alongside him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn this tremendous loss.

Alton, your legacy will live on in the hearts of our Christmas in Park family and our community.

We appreciate the hard work of the TDCJ Stevenson Unit, Angie and Sara from the Cuero Chamber of Commerce, Maggie and Samantha of the Cuero Development Corporation, and Craig Oakes of Cuero L**e & Tire who worked “behind the scenes” to restore the recognition signs for each display at Cuero's Christmas in the Park.
