Things are looking great for race day and we are ecstatic about the new 100K route! You are going to love it! It's seriously an amazing route with incredible views!
Note: We've had to make a minor change to the 12 Mile Fun Ride and the 25 Mile route on the return due to some road work being completed on McWilliams Rd between Leasburg and Bourbon. Riders of THESE TWO ROUTES ONLY will now turn right onto Pine St after they go through the Leasburg checkpoint (located at the Leasburg Park this year), then right again on 5th, before making a left on Old Springfield and heading back to Bourbon. The 100K route remains the same and will turn right onto Grotemac Lake Rd after the Leasburg Checkpoint. Affected routes have been updated on both Strava and RidewithGPS, and existing links remain the same.
FRIDAY:
• We will have our annual pre-race event at beginning at 5:30pm where you will be able to register and to pick up your race packet. Note, on-site registrations are NOT eligible for the bike or rack giveaways, so register now! We will have giveaways, beer from , food, and general merriment, so stop on by!
• Bourbon’s Fall Festival Parade begins at 6:00pm and will travel right behind the shop along Historic Route 66. The Fall Festival will be downtown along Elm St, where the starting line will be located on Saturday morning.
• Camping is available, message us on FB for details.
SATURDAY:
• Parking will be at the Bourbon Elementary School on Jost St.
• On-Site registration will open around 6:00am and end at 7:30am, this includes packet pick-up, so please come early to help our wonderful volunteers!
• Race start is 8:00am and will be chip timed by Split Second Timing
• Bourbon Car Show will be held along Pine Street, complete with food and craft vendors beginning at 9:00am, so you’ll be able to eat at one of our great local restaurants or food vendors and visit the car show when you return from your ride!
