My rainbow baby didn’t heal me.

And I think that’s what people don’t understand.

They didn’t erase the grief.
They didn’t replace the baby I lost.
They didn’t magically make everything “okay.”

What they did…
was teach me how to hold two truths at once.

I can be deeply in love
with the child in my arms…

and still ache for the one who isn’t here.

I can celebrate milestones
while remembering the ones I never got.

I can smile in this life
and still mourn the life that almost was.

Because a rainbow baby isn’t a replacement.

They’re proof that love continues…
even after it’s been broken.

And if anything,
they didn’t take my pain away…

they made my heart bigger
so it could carry both.

💜CHAD & JESICA w/ TEAM KIMBER👼🏻

They cooked up an amazing and unique Cajun Italian Soup! Our judges said this was the easiest 1st place they’ve ever awarded! It was so delicious!!!

Team Kimber has become a staple of our cook off, bringing sooo many family and friends each year💜 So we sure love seeing them up on stage with us winning these awards! It’s a blessing to witness so many people who love their sweet Angel Kimber & PawPaw Phil👼🏻

We’d also like to extend our appreciation to Mrs. Jesica for painting a beautiful Cajun crawfish piece for this years silent auction. It brought in over $500 for our mission. It’s families like yours that make our event sooo special 🙌🏼

When we started the Angel T Black Pot Cook Off 8 years ago, we simply did it to give back to Maddie's Footprints, a non-profit that helps grieving families who experience pregnancy and/or infant loss, both financially and emotionally. Maddie’s Footprints saved our family in so many ways through our journey of grieving our sweet Tripp, who was born sleeping at 39 weeks pregnant, on July 3, 2016. At the time, raising a little money to Give Back in His Honor, was the least we could do.

Little did we know, our lil’ country cook off would turn into THIS💙 We are beyond honored to continue to support Maddie’s Footprints as they help more and more families every year, but we also now get to help so many other families and organizations in need…. All because our little boy caught the hearts of our amazing community.

As you will also see, we chose the amazing SCOTT KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS #7568 to be our secondary beneficiary this year. We could talk on and on about all that Maddie’s Footprints and the Scott KC’s do for our community daily…. But the biggest thing that our family has learned through our journey of giving for Tripp is that GOD REALLY CAN TURN YOUR TRIALS INTO TRIUMPHS!!!! While raising money for these amazing organizations is a true honor and the best feeling ever…. If you learn anything at all from us or our cook off, it’s that there is absolutely nothing life can throw at you that you CAN’T overcome!!! With God’s help & a lil strength from within, you truly can turn any pain into purpose, if you just BELIEVE and Let God Do His Thing 🙌🏼 So please, next time your facing any kind of life obstacle, challenge yourself to find the strength to look for hidden blessings!!! 💪🏼 I promise you won’t regret it!!

Lastly and most importantly… take a look at those numbers in the photo 👀 We set a goal a few years back to try to raise 500K by the time Tripp turned 10!!! This was a silly thought of ours that turned into reality this year, ALL BECAUSE OF YALL!!!! We truly have the greatest friends family and community, and these numbers prove that South Louisiana is truly the most selfless place on earth! Cheers to every single person who has ever been involved in anything “Angel T”!!! You’re the reason why so many lives have been touched!!

Their family has walked the infant loss journey more than once, so it means the world to us when they pour their love into Angel T. The Courville Family has been a part of our cook off for 5 years now… They have always been an amazing family to have each year, and they always go ALL OUT to honor their sweet angel baby, Kimber Faith, who left this world too early back in 2018. Well, this past year they lost another huge piece of their family, Mr. Phil Courville, aka, PawPawPhil❤️ Mr. Phil was a huge part of making “Team Kimber” one of the best cook teams every single year at our cook off. He was the biggest smile in any room he walked in, and always willing to help anyone around him. That being said, we knew this would be an emotional cook off for the Courville family, but we were humbled to see how amazingly they let Mr. Phil’s light shine through them all this past weekend! We were honored to name them as our Family Spotlight this year!! To the Courville Family… We love you, and never forget, you now have two amazing guardian angels watching over you😇❤️😇
