😍How AMAZING is THIS?!?!?!?😍

We were fortunate enough to have Tripp at a hospital that had access to the support we needed… Wonderfully trained and experience infant loss social workers and nurses, a cooling cot, and direct access to Maddie's Footprints - Acadiana from day 1…..

Although, over the years, we’ve heard many other similar stories that didn’t receive the personalized “infant loss” care that we did. At no fault to anyone or any hospital… but it just wasn’t common to have all that at some hospitals, especially your smaller ones. So to now see that every hospital in the state must have all the necessities to care for a family who has experienced this nightmare…. Probably one of the most heartwarming feelings we’ve had in a long time ❤️

Proud to share that Angel's Law is now in effect.

Senate Bill 32 began with bereavement nurse Kristi Lamarque-Bordelon, whose advocacy made it real. Grateful to her, to Kim Carver - State Representative for carrying it in the House, and to every family who shared their story. No family should face that moment alone.

For those of you who are new to our cook off, we lost our little boy, Tripp Anthony, in 2016. He was still born just days before his due date. Our world flipped upside down in many more ways than we can even explain. But, we soon realized that Giving Back in honor of him is what would pull our family through our grief journey. So, we are beyond honored to continue Tripp’s Legacy through his Annual ANGEL T BLACK POT COOK OFF every single year with the best community around!! And we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you again next year as we all work together to Give Back to Families in Need, while also having a blast with the best Cajun cookin’ and bands around!!!

My rainbow baby didn’t heal me.

And I think that’s what people don’t understand.

They didn’t erase the grief.
They didn’t replace the baby I lost.
They didn’t magically make everything “okay.”

What they did…
was teach me how to hold two truths at once.

I can be deeply in love
with the child in my arms…

and still ache for the one who isn’t here.

I can celebrate milestones
while remembering the ones I never got.

I can smile in this life
and still mourn the life that almost was.

Because a rainbow baby isn’t a replacement.

They’re proof that love continues…
even after it’s been broken.

And if anything,
they didn’t take my pain away…

they made my heart bigger
so it could carry both.
