Crothersville Iraq Veterans Reunion Forms 501(c)(3) to Grow Community Support
For the past four years, Chad and Amanda Moeller have had the privilege of hosting an annual reunion for a group of veterans who served together in Iraq. Chad served alongside these veterans in Iraq, making this reunion especially meaningful to him and to the entire group. The reunion is held every year on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend at the Moellers’ property in Crothersville, Indiana, in Jackson County.
What began as a way for these veterans to reconnect, remember those they served alongside, and strengthen the bonds they formed through their service has grown into an important annual tradition. Each year, veterans and their families come together to share memories, honor their service, and continue the friendships and brotherhood that began overseas.
To help ensure the reunion can continue and grow, the organizers have established a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the event and its mission. As they look toward future reunions, they would like to invite the Crothersville and Jackson County community to become part of what they are doing.
The goal is to raise funds through local businesses, community organizations, individual donors, and sponsorships so the organizers can continue providing a meaningful reunion experience for these veterans and their families.
They believe this is an opportunity for the community to come together each Labor Day weekend to say thank you to the men and women who served our country.
This isn’t simply an event. It is a chance to preserve friendships, remember those who served and those we lost, support veterans and their families, and ensure that the bonds created through military service continue for generations.
Chad and Amanda would be honored to have the businesses, organizations, families, and residents of Crothersville and Jackson County join them in supporting this mission.
Together, our community can help make sure these veterans always have a place to come home to.
