Volume on!

Pugsley and I just added new classes to the website. Apparently, I was boring him with computer work. Is he sleeping with his eyes open? Why is it cute when our fur babies snore but annoying when adults do?

Forecast: Rain for the next 3 days of our mother son beach trip.

Ethan: “Our trip is ruined.”
Me: “Raining or not I am here relaxing and spending time with you.”

As Ethan digs his yearly hole in the sand and I sit here relaxing as the wind howls in unison with the crashing waves, I am reminded….
How grateful I am for my faith, family and health.

Thank you Greg for staying home and caring for our fur babies while I enjoy this time with our son.

With rain coming soon, I am also grateful I brought a sewing project!

May has been such a busy and beautiful month, filled with long days, hard work, celebrations, and memories we will never forget. Last night, we celebrated the graduation of our son, and it was one of those moments that makes you pause and realize just how quickly time passes.

Watching him reach this milestone fills us with so much pride and gratitude. The lessons learned, challenges overcome, and all the little moments along the way led to this incredible achievement.

To our son: We are so proud of the person you have become and excited to see where life takes you next. Your future is bright, and we will always be cheering you on.

Here’s to new beginnings, proud parents, and a heart overflowing with love.

Mother’s Day isn’t the same for every woman. It is a day of celebration and appreciation for some, day of remembrance of loss or a day of sadness for what never was. Prayers for all today, where ever you are in your own personal journey.

Thank you to those that attended our Homesteads Artisan Festival this past weekend.

Our attendance was way down from previous events and negativity was at an all time high.

It is hard work hosting events, setting up as a vendor and just putting yourself out there for criticism of your work or pricing. Unless you have done it, you only think you understand.

ALL small business need support. So many times when businesses announce they are no longer operating people rally around them but it is usually too late at that point. Shop small rather than Amazon or big box stores when possible. You are changing someone’s life and probably getting a better product.

Thank you to the vendors and guests that showed up! We appreciate you! Thank you to the Cumberland County Playhouse, SMHS Marching Band, Brian Trout and Jimmie Anderson for performing.

Marion Cox was the winner of the quilt.

A donation of $500 was made to SMHS Band Director, Elana Douglas. Hoping it could have been more but supporting young artists now will ensure future generations have it to enjoy. They are still in need of $8500 in donations by the end of the month to purchase uniforms. If you are willing to help please reach out to them.
