Heritage Highland Games

Good morning,

After some serious discussion and evaluation over this past week we have come to the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Heritage Highland Games. Due to the logistical challenges related to COVID 19 restrictions and the, understandable, inability of our sponsor to be as generous as they have been in past years it has become impossible for us to host a games that we could be proud of. This decision was extremely difficult as we love our Highland games family and sharing the games with central Minnesota. We will return in 2021 with more kilts and heavy throws along with the he possibility of another Strongman/Highlander event with a Norse twist. Until then please stay safe and take care of yourselves. Slainte!

All registration fees will be refunded to athletes.

Good evening everyone! I’m happy to announce that we have our rescheduled date for the 2020 Heritage Highland Games. The games will take place Saturday October 3rd at the Crosby Memorial Park. We are very thankful for everyone’s continued support and patience. I wanted this announcement to come a lot sooner but given the current state of the world planning event has become like herding cats. Stay safe, slainte!

Hello everyone,

After speaking with the Minnesota Department of Health, city officials and following some concerning statements made by the attorney general’s office to other events in the state we have made the decisions to reschedule Heritage Highland Games 2020. We can not ensure that we will remain below the attendance cap of 250 while connected with Heritage Days 2020 and cannot put ourselves or the other volunteer coordinators at risk of penalties. We will be rescheduling the games for some time in mid September to early October and announcing the dates within the next few days. Those who have registered will be receiving an email regarding the change and offering a refund if they choose. This was a hard decision and we thank everyone for their continued support. We hope to see you this year and in years to come.

Athletes: Good morning, thanks for your patience with us. The registration post was delayed do to some "administrative" issues but we are now all set for the 2020 Heritage Highland Games! If there are any questions, concerns or issues just let us know. We can't wait to see all our kilted brothers and sister on the shores of serpent lake in a few short months. Athletes: we have had some folks reach out to us asking if the 2020 Heritage Highland Games are still happening. We will be having our games as long as Crosby Heritage Days takes place. Registration will be opening up this weekend.

In the event that Heritage Days is cancelled we have been kicking around the idea of a backyard games for our local throwers and those that had registered for the games
