MEET LESLIE!

Leslie is a superintendent at Lewis & Clark State Rec Area and on our race committee. On race day, you'll most likely find her hauling kayaks on the beach. Don't be fooled by that sweet smile, she's serious about making our race a huge success and taking care of her state park crew.

We're officially renaming Crofton BIKE TOWN, USA this summer! Our little town of 800 is the host site to three (yes, 3!) big time biking events starting with BRAN June 10-11, Tour de Nebraska June 26-28 and our own Crofton's Dam Race on July 25. Grab your helmet and ride along!

Meet the Tramp Family cousins! Last year, about 100 members of the Charles Tramp family gathered near Crofton for a family reunion, and a pile of them competed in Crofton's Dam Race. When I asked Alyssa DeBough her favorite part, she said "Honestly, it kind of sucked because I wasn't in shape. But it was fun! And we're all coming back this year, and will be better prepared."

[WINNER!] Congrats to Ellison Fuchtman of Winnetoon, NE, for being the winner of our 100 Day Giveaway. Ellison, an Avera Health traveling nurse, competed for the first time last year. She'll be back this year with her cheering squad. Thanks to Boston Shoes to Boots for donating a free pair of shoes!

Hey racers, our champs will be back! I just got word from our 2025 triathlon champs, TeJai Clausen (pictured left) of Norfolk and Paige Steinman (pictured right) of Emerson. Both will be returning to defend their titles. When asked why she returns every year, Paige said, "Crofton's Dam Race doesn't feel like a big city race. It feels like everyone's family. We're all just a bunch of neighborhood kids out there having fun."
