The world lost a lot when this man made his exit. But we’re thankful for all we gained by having him here for 92 years.
Turn on Ray Price’s “Burning Memories” or find someone to waltz with and celebrate the life and music of Dwain Soester.

View Dwain Soester's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.

Crawford Elementary students performed a patriotic medley at the Vietnam Wall Memorial in Crawford this week. This has been a fantastic event for this small town and it has been wonderful to see so many people both work to bring it here and show up to support it. We hope it helped heal and remember.

EDIT: I don’t know how much of the week they’ll be here, but check them out!

Here are the food truck menus for this week. You’ll find them at the Crawford Community Building/baseball field. Stop down and support the businesses that are in town for the Vietnam Wall Memorial, through Saturday. And don’t forget the other amazing food places that support our community year round—Perk Up Java Shop, 2nd Street Bakery, Q’s Dairy Sweet, The Tailgate and C’s Drive In.

This was one of our favorite moments of this year’s contest. Jim and Ann Mapes are celebrating 72 years of marriage this year and Pete Butler and Jack Jones played their song. It reminded us of why we celebrate music and how much meaning it carries. We can only imagine the memories this song brings back when you’ve been dancing together for more than 72 years.

Thank you to ALL of our sponsors, vendors and volunteers in helping us put this venue together for another year! We GREATLY appreciate your kindness and support. If you have time, stop by these local businesses and tell them thank you and let them know how much they are appreciated.
