IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ORGANIZATIONS

🇺🇸 As we reflect this Memorial Day, we are reminded how important community traditions and gathering spaces are in rural communities like ours. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue rebuilding and caring for the Forest County Fairgrounds for future generations. ❤️🤍💙

We are excited to share that the Forest County Agricultural Society is now beginning to work with recognized community organizations, educational groups, agricultural organizations, nonprofits, clubs, and event organizers interested in utilizing the fairgrounds for small-scale events, educational activities, clinics, meetings, and community gatherings.

Over the past several months, we have been working through the transition process of establishing updated policies, agreements, insurance coverage, operational procedures, and safety expectations to help support responsible and sustainable use of the grounds moving forward.

As many know, the County Fair remains the heart of our mission and will serve as the first large-scale public event hosted under the Agricultural Society’s leadership during this transition period. Our focus continues to be preserving and improving the grounds while creating a welcoming community space for years to come.

As part of this process, we are also working to ensure that use of the fairgrounds supports the long-term sustainability and operation of the property. Events and activities held on the grounds should help strengthen — not compete with — the mission of the Forest County Fair and the Forest County Agricultural Society.

At this time, requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must align with current operational, insurance, safety, and scheduling requirements.

Organizations or groups interested in discussing possible use of the grounds are encouraged to contact us at: [email protected]

Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and patience during this transition. We are excited about the future of the fairgrounds and the opportunities ahead for our community.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, the Forest County Agricultural Society and the Forest County Fair pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice made it possible for communities like ours to gather, celebrate traditions, support agriculture, and enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

As we spend time with family and friends, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude for those who never made it home. ❤️🤍💙

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

We’re excited to share an important update for our community.

The Forest County Fairgrounds are now under the ownership and stewardship of the Forest County Agricultural Society, Inc.

This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter—one focused on thoughtful improvements, preserving the history of the grounds, and creating a welcoming space for our community to gather for years to come.

Over the past several months, we’ve already begun important work, including lighting installation, grounds maintenance improvements, and planning for future projects.

While the grounds remain closed to public access as we continue planning and coordination, we are looking ahead to our first public event under Agricultural Society stewardship:

🌟 Forest County Fair
📅 August 21, 22, & 23, 2026

We’re working to return the fairgrounds to a thriving community space—one step at a time.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
