The Southampton Renaissance Faire

It is with heavy hearts that the Board of the Southampton Renaissance Faire has decided to no longer continue the Faire. To all our patrons, vendors, friends, and family, please know this decision was not easily reached. We've all had wonderful times in Faires past, and will cherish those memories for a lifetime, and the friends we've made through Faire activities.

Please consider checking out the Harvest Faire and their events page if you're near the southeastern Virginia area.

We are sad to announce we will be unable to put on the Southampton Renaissance Faire in 2024. Our staff has been hit by multiple health crises and family tragedies. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

THANK YOU!
Without each and every one of you, this amazing weekend would not have been as wonderful as it was.
We had over 2400 visitors, over the 2 day weekend, walk through the gates. We are so glad you all came out and enjoyed yourselves.
We are so grateful for each of you that supported the vendors, enjoyed the merriment, and contributed to the food drive. We collected 859 non perishable food items, (that is equivalent to 875 lbs of food) that have been delivered to the Franklin/Southampton Food Bank. The Great Viking Pantry Pillage is one of our highlights. Thank you to everyone that helped put together this fun event that is such a help to our community. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for each and every item donated, your kindness helps support those in need in our community.

We cannot wait to see each and everyone of you for the 2024 Southampton Renaissance Faire, the date is TBD, however, we will make the date and location available ASAP.

Hello friends of The Southampton Renaissance Faire ! We want to say a big thank you to 1450 people who walked through our gates yesterday. We are open again today till 5. Come on out and make sure to stop at the raffle table, to purchase you Ren Faire bags and raffle tickets.

On Saturday, April 15, Sheriff J.A.Wyche Sr. was formally knighted by King George for his years of dedicated service to the community of Southampton and City of Franklin. All recognize Sir Josh, protector of the realm of Southampton. Huzzah!

Is there anyone who would like to volunteer to help for Ren Faire this weekend? If all you can do is only an hour we would greatly appreciate it. Below is a list of days and times that we need people. If you know anyone who could help please let me know. We also offer service hours.

We need help with clean up on Thursday evening at 5:15pm till dark.

Clean up and set up 8am till dark for Fri.

Work the event 10-5 on Saturday and Sunday.

Every April since 2008, in Southampton County, thousands of people have had an opportunity to step back in time, and see knights, lords and ladies. a King and Queen, and a host of other characters by visiting a Renaissance Faire.
