M&W Farm M&W Farm offers riding lessons and training in Cottondale, AL. We start our students and our horses the right way. They learn from the ground up.

They start with grooming and saddling, then riding. Students also learn how to care for their horses through feeding, cleaning stalls, bathing, and doctoring a hurt horse. M&W Farm has several champions including Too Hot Too Trot, Shimmy Shimmy Coco Puff, Pana Ma Pepe, La Femme Nikita, and Seanetta Skip. ish and western pleasure, and gaited horses. We offer Lessons from beginners to advanced students. We have 30 minute private lessons for $20. Group 1 hour lessons for $30, and Private 1 hour lessons for $35. All students must start out with a few private lessons until the instructor feels they are ready to move to a group. Meet the horses Monday!

Lucy! Lucy is owned by the Hammet and Powell families and has been a long time resident of M&W Farm. She’s been used in lesson for many years. You could not ask for better lesson horse. She literally did the job for the instructor.
She’s now retired and just living her best life. We love this old sassy lady!

Rusty is Mr. Pony extraordinaire! Rusty has a resume a mile long with his accomplishments as a barrel pony. He was an absolute freak of nature for many years. While he was in between riders we started using him for therapeutic riding lessons. He is absolutely amazing because of his size, gait, and temperament. We can always count on him to be the same every time. We love Rusty pony!
