Our roots run deep.
15 years, when this project started, Orange County was lacking any real showcase for featuring Americana roots music. I really didn’t know what was around or out there, the area was dominated by dj nights playing the same edm songs and I just wanted to make something that took it back to the basics.
I never expected to connect with so many artists that were on the same page as we were. Truly a family was born.
Then when the pandemic came it really squashed a lot of hopes and dreams. Bands lost contracts, lost band members and maybe most importantly we lost the stages and gatherings and really it’s been hard to piece it back together since then. We drifted, we got old and now you can find a local “country” night or bar all over Southern California. (I truly think that’s a beautiful thing, the world needed it) Even hollywood tried a parody, stole our bio, but they just couldn’t quite grasp the soul of the magic that we once shared in a little backyard of that roadhouse restaurant we started in. It was a desert illusion , a place to play dress up. Missing the authenticity, the purpose, the simplicity.
So we’re still here, because this , the real deal, is important for me to share.
This Saturday we’re featuring 3 of the artists that have been there from the beginning . Bands that I share so many memories, laughs and tears with that are all still so deserving of your ears.
Revival of the revivalist.
