For one beautiful day, the world felt a little different. And perhaps, in some small but meaningful way, we changed it. ❤️
We've spent the past week reflecting on the very first Lost Skills Gathering, and the more we look back, the more extraordinary it all feels.
What began as an idea, a hope that we could bring people together around the knowledge, traditions, and skills worth preserving, became something far more beautiful than we could have imagined.
We watched strangers become friends, children learn beside elders, generations share wisdom, and hundreds of people rediscover the simple joy of making something with their own hands.
But there was something else happening that day. Something harder to describe, but impossible not to feel.
Our host Brandon put together a special reflection on that first gathering, what it meant to us, the remarkable people who made it possible, and why we believe this is only the beginning of something much bigger.
