A nihilist penguin, director’s oddball musings on dead languages, and breathtaking landscapes await in famed documentarian Werner Herzog's 𝘌𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥.

Join us for the return of Free Film Fridays with a new date and time: Cinema Sundays at 3 p.m.!

Herzog and cinematographer Peter Zeitlinger travel to Antarctica to meet the people who live and work there and to capture footage of the continent's unique locations. In his narration, Herzog explains that this film will not be a typical Antarctica film about "fluffy penguins"; instead, it explores the dreams of the people and the landscape—and his work does just that.
