Enter, ๐‘ป๐’– ๐’…๐’๐’“๐’” ๐‘ต๐’Š๐’„๐’๐’๐’†: a coming-of-age film that follows Nicole and her relationship with her best friend against the backdrop of a hot Quebec summer. Whisps of nostalgia and ennui thread throughout, furthered by the film's black-and-white 35mm cinematography. ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ

Music meets meditation with our Well-Being Concerts series, a new PRAx series in partnership with the Carnegie Hall Weill Music Institute.

The series originated to creatively explore the impact of live music on individual and collective well-being. Unlike traditional concerts in Detrick Hall, a smaller cohort of patrons will be welcomed onto our stage alongside featured musicians. Patrons will be welcomed to sit, lie down or meditate throughout the shortened performances.

Each concert creates an immersive, nurturing space in which audiences and performers share in the soul-nourishing benefits of music, create shared experiences and explore tools for well-being that last long after the performance.

PRAx is proud to offer three installments as part of the series:
โ–ช๏ธ September 30: Maeve Gilchrist and Seamus Egan โ€” beav.es/fPo
โ–ช๏ธ February 4: Roopa Panesar โ€” beav.es/fP5
โ–ช๏ธ April 29: Ablaye Cissoko and Cyrille Brotto โ€” beav.es/fPG

Join us for these transformational experiences of music and mindfulness.

From photos to poetry, from poetry to voices โ€” Eras by Third Angle New Music and the Oregon Repertory Singers Youth Choir is a performance exploring the intersection of past, present and future for both people and planet.

The creative journey of Eras began in April 2025, when students from the ORS Youth Choir and Third Angle Ensemble visited the World Forestry Center to see the exhibition Following Fire, a powerful photo documentation of wildfire destruction and regrowth in the Cascade Range.

Members of the youth choir spread out amongst the photos of skeletal trees and budding fireweed to write poetry, which was then transformed, setting the childrenโ€™s own words into three parts: After Darkness; After Fire; Then, Light!

Join us for this beautiful exploration of art and regrowth in the face of climate change:
๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Friday, May 22
โฐ Lightbox Happy Hour at 6 p.m. before the performance begins at 7 p.m.

Join us to celebrate the projects of the 2025-26 PRAx Student Fellows. We'll hear from three fellows reading from written work and performing original songs, and then experience the opening of the exhibition, which features interdisciplinary projects created over the past year by this cohort of fellows. All students will be on hand to talk about their projects. Refreshments will be served.

The PRAx Student Fellowship program offers graduate and advanced undergraduate students the opportunity to develop an interdisciplinary creative project informed by active engagement with OSU research in science or engineering. Part of the Arts-Sci Initiative, this program is supported by external sponsors and campus partners from across OSU. Special thanks to the artists, scientists, filmmakers, writers, musicians and engineers who work with the student fellows as mentors throughout the year.

Projects will be on display in the Arts Corridor of PRAx from May 18 to July 6, 2026.
