"Crafter. Scrapbooker. Cardmaker. Certified Zentangle Teacher. Tangler. Gardener. Mixed Media
Artist. Upcycler. Organic Farmer. Graphic Designer. Amateur Photographer. Interior Decorator.
Educator. Wife. Mom. Mima.
My name is Mary Elliott.
I am all of the above. Just not necessarily in that order.
Welcome to Eltimar Design.
Thank you for visiting! We’re all so busy this time of year, so I appreciate that you are taking
some time to look at my work.
My designs are best described as eclectic. A lot of interests translate to several different
techniques, looks, and finished product types.
I found Zentangle a few years ago when I was very ill, and looking for a way to meditate. My
mind and pain levels wouldn’t allow me to settle into regular meditation. I could never find the
quiet. Then late one night, while googling meditation, I found this funny word, “Zentangle”.
I& #39;ve never been able to draw. Doodle, yes. Been doing that my whole life. But Zentangle
allowed me to calm my mind, forget some of the pain, and create some cool designs. I fell in
love with the whole concept. After a couple of years on my own, I found a class at our local
library. When that teacher decided to retire, she encouraged me to get certified. I did, and
now lead my own little merry band of Tanglers. ((Even now, I have a sketch pad with me all the
time. Drawing is still my go-to for pain and anxiety.))
The mixed media piece came a little later. The idea of combining papers with layers of paints
and inks with stencils and found objects, and then adding my drawings just seemed like a
natural fit.
When I discovered upcycling? Trifecta! My craft room is a very cool place to be when I have a
newly thrifted piece, my art supplies and pens, a new tangle to draw, and a design swimming
through my brain. The thought of “trash to treasure” truly resonates within my soul. My
Facebook followers enjoy my “Today’s Upcycle” posts.
I digitize all of my work, so that I can repurpose it to be used on other projects. (Yes, I even
upcycle my own stuff.) All of these techniques can be combined to create wall hangings, home
decor pieces, cards, and scrapbook layouts. I take orders, to change size, colors, and sayings on
prints, and I make custom journals.
I teach all of the above. Anywhere and everywhere I can. I firmly believe that all people have
art in their souls. They just need to feel free enough to play to find it. My students vary widely
in age and talent, but we always have fun and create beautiful art.

I have had pieces in several local art shows and exhibits at the McNeil Building and CRT in
Cortland, and Center for Arts in Homer. I just completed a 6-month solo show at Guthrie
Cortland Hospital. And in the spring, I had a one-month solo show at the Mariea Brown and
Raymond Loft Galleries, courtesy of the Chenango Arts Council in Norwich. I have had shows at
the GreenStar Coop in Ithaca and the McNeil Building in Cortland. I was lucky enough to curate
another art show at the McNeil Building, running through September and October, and
featuring all my Tangle group members, and friends of mine who make quilts, take photos, and
write poems. All kinds of art there!"

Join us July 11th 5-8PM to celebrate
PomeeDrops: Jeanine Lorenzo

Jeanine Lorenzo is a visionary pom pom artist, bringing a fresh and playful perspective to the art world. With over 15 years of experience as a home shopping host for major networks including Create & Craft UK and JTV, she developed a unique ability to connect with audiences and share her passion for creative expression. Her background also includes more than a decade as an improv comedy performer for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line, where she honed her talents in entertainment, storytelling, and spontaneous joy.

Now back in her hometown of Central New York, Jeanine is channeling her vibrant energy into a new adventure—introducing the art of pom pom making to the local community. Blending her performance background with artistic flair, she offers engaging classes that explore imaginative pom pom techniques in a warm, welcoming environment. Jeanine’s workshops are more than just craft sessions—they’re creative experiences filled with laughter, learning, and local connection.
