Every performer, singer, guitar strummer, dancer and drummer performs at PorchFest completely free.
‌
Every organizer, trash collector and neighbor offers their time and talent *voluntarily* in order to raise up not only our local community, but also to raise funds for local youth music programming.
‌
If we want to keep Cortland rocking, we’ve got to keep our kiddos jammin’!
‌
Cortland’s musical legacy (and yes, it is our cultural legacy!) relies on this gift being passed down again and again.
‌
All proceeds from this neighborhood-musician-performer-volunteer collab go toward keeping kids making music and beautifying our neighborhood park.

It’s the kiddos who watch and listen and learn and from the PorchFest Way. Who, with wide-eyed wonder, pick up an instrument, practice determinedly, dream up songs, and hum them while they skip down the street.
The kiddos who, from tender ages, have absorbed all of the Goodness of the day and of the neighborhood and who will sing on their OWN porches this year.
We are proudest of our young neighbors who are doing their part. Make sure you come see our neighborhood’s very own: AJ Pitcher, pictured here, 1:00, 8 Van Hoesen Street AND Sadie Marshall 2:00, 23 Van Hoesen Street.

Every donation collected by our awesome volunteers (Cortland High School Student Council students) goes to Cortland Youth Bureau youth music programs and a Suggett Park project.
Over the years, we’ve helped add trees, park benches and shade shelters.
