What is Realms Con?

Realms Con, the pioneer of the longest running family-friendly gathering of comic enthusiasts, gamers, anime fans, horror junkies, scifi addicts, fan girls/boys and more in the coastal bend area, invites you to join us every year for our annual celebration of anime, gaming, horror, comic books, artists, vendors, and celebrities!

Established 2005 - Corpus Christi, Texas.

Realms Con is not just a convention, it's an experience. Meet your favorite celebrity; sit in on a concert; learn drawing, costuming, or prop making techniques; dance away at the ball or party all night at the raves; watch a cosplay contest or participate in one; join in on an interactive panel/workshop/game; visit the card and video gaming rooms and join a tournament. Realms Con's focus is to make sure our attendees always have lots of options of fun things to do.

Realms Con Was born from a native Corpus Christian's passion for fun. Long before its first year in 2005, Daniel Velasquez had a dream of bringing a family friendly weekend convention full of gaming, non-stop movies, panels and workshops, costume contests, concerts, and celebrities to Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend area. A committee comprised of family, friends, and acquaintances sharing the same vision was created to bring this dream to reality. First, the convention needed a name. After some arduous brainstorming, the name Realms Con was offered by Johnny M. Brandenburgh Jr., friend and founder of a local horror club. The convention would embrace different realms bringing anime, horror, sci-fi, and comics under one roof for the public to enjoy. Once the name was created, the rest was history. From its humble beginning in 2005 to its upcoming 2019 15th annual show, Realms Con has and continues to be brought to Corpus Christi by the hard work and extreme pride of many individuals who have the same passion for fun and community as its founder, Daniel Velasquez. Some have been part of Realms Con from day one and many others have been part of Realms Con for years and as such, we are a big family that extends an invitation to you every year to share a weekend with us of fun, excitement, and acceptance.
