Granny has earned her angel wings. I’m so heartbroken. This is the woman who taught me how to crochet. Before YouTube I had “180- Granny hotline”. I would call her when I was learning after spending time with her after she taught me the basics. I was over the moon when she gave me a pattern from my great grandmother (the one behind her that I made for her) she’s here holding my grandson, her great great grandson

It’s been over a year but I’m finally back to crocheting! All it took was me going out to Missouri, seeing Pope, and my granddaughter asking me for an Oma made blanket. I haven’t picked up a hook and yarn since he passed

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who served in the military!
Pope will always be my favorite veteran. It’s hard without him. Some days are better than others, and some are hard. I’ll always be proud to be his granddaughter and proud of him and everything he accomplished in his life. I miss you every day Pope ❤️🤍💙

So my friends and family know that I have been training for a half marathon that will do this Sunday that means I’ve been single minded to prepare myself for what is to come! Since I have to rest this week and cut my gym time back a lot I’ve had a lot of down time. Finally decided to do some diamond painting and finished this today.

I finally get to take my trip to Colorado at the end of the month with a quick stop in Missouri for my cousin’s wedding! Hoping the change of location and being back home helps me get my crojo back

I have a confession… I haven’t picked up a crochet hook ( I know I have a lot of projects to finish for people) since I got the news of my grandpa’s accident and passing. I just can’t seem to sit still for long because that gives me too much time to think. So instead I’ve thrown myself into work (group fitness instructor and Pound instructor) and working out. It seems to be my only escape. To everyone that has something I’m making for them, I will finish them, I promise and I’m sorry that they’re not finished yet.

As you can imagine, I have lost my crojo (crochet mojo). I haven’t picked up my hook in a while. As I sit here I realized, that’s not what Pope would have wanted. He never would have wanted us to be sad and stop doing what we love, even for him.

My wonderful and amazing grandpa (Pope) gained his Angel wings on Thursday. We are all heartbroken but we have been truly blessed to have this amazing man in our lives. He loved his family with every bit of his heart. Everyone who knew him, loved him and Vice versa. He was a very talented man and we were all amazed at how active he was at 90 years young. He faced cancer and kicked its a$$ and never took a day for granted. It’s going to be hard living in a world without him and I plan on making him proud everyday. Until we meet again Pope 💔
