Vermont Roots Music Collective Ltd We started in a backyard in West Cornwall during the pandemic.

Now we're building something bigger — a nonprofit dedicated to Vermont musicians, fair pay, and accessible community concerts across Addison County and beyond.

At VRMC, our mission is rooted in celebrating live music and supporting the incredible creative talent within our local community. That’s why we’re thrilled to highlight an upcoming show presented by our friends and neighbors at Town Hall Theater!
Voices of Change: The Songs of Bob Dylan brings together an all-star gathering of Addison County and Vermont musicians—including VRMC’s own Dan Whittemore alongside Deb Brisson, Mark Pelletier, Mr. Charlie Frazier, The Morning Dudes, the Stay At Home Wilburys, Glenn Goodwin, and Ron Rost.
Together, they’ll be bringing Dylan’s immortal anthems—“Blowin’ in the Wind,” “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” and more—to life on the plaza.
Supporting local venues and fellow arts non-profits keeps our regional music ecosystem strong. Come out, enjoy an evening of world-class songs, and support community-driven live music!
📍 Location: Maloney Performing Arts Plaza at Town Hall Theater (Indoors at Anderson Studio if it rains)
📅 Date: Friday, October 2
🪑 Note: Outdoor seating—bring a blanket or folding chair!

There’s something about live music that turns a field full of strangers into a community on the count of four..
When a local band hits that sweet spot, you can feel it—not just in your chest, but in the nod of the person standing next to you, the shared laugh between songs, and the way the crowd just breathes together.
Here at the Vermont Roots Music Collective, we believe live, local music isn't just entertainment. It’s the connective tissue of our towns. It’s where neighbors bump into neighbors, where stories get swapped between sets, and where our local musicians bring the heart and soul of Vermont onto the stage.
It makes us wonder: What does live local music mean to you?
Is it the thrill of discovering a new favorite local artist? The nostalgia of a song that brings back memories? Or is it simply having a place to gather, unplug, and feel connected?

What was the last local show that gave you goosebumps?
What’s one thing you think makes Vermont’s music scene so special?

Calling all friends of VRMC! 🎸

We're taking down the stage at the farm this Friday at 10 am, and could use a few extra hands. Short notice, we know — so zero pressure if you can't swing it, but if you can, come on by!

Handy things to bring if you've got 'em:
🔧 Power driver with a torx bit
🛠️ Pry bars
🚚 A pickup truck or van (for hauling)

Many hands make light work — hope to see some of you out there!

We Did It!

Thank You for an Incredible Peet Farm Music Series! 🎶✨

As the dust settles on our inaugural summer music series, the team at the Vermont Roots Music Collective wants to send a massive THANK YOU to everyone who made it possible!
To our incredible local musicians, our generous host and sponsor Peet Farm Greenhouses, our tireless volunteers, our in-kind sponsors Goodro Lumber, Distinctive Paint & Interiors and every single person who showed up to listen, dance, and connect—you made this summer unforgettable.
Thanks to your amazing generosity in the donation buckets, the series was a resounding success—socially, culturally, AND financially! Every dollar donated went directly toward covering our operating costs, meaning VRMC came out ahead and ready to keep bringing great music to our community.
You proved that when community and live music come together in Vermont, amazing things happen.
Stay tuned right here for what’s coming next! 🎸🥁
