A little something new is coming to Hummingbird Hall! 🤍

I’ve been dreaming about this project for quite a while, and it’s finally happening!

We’re transforming the tiny 530-square-foot duplex next door into a charming little wedding cottage—a place for our couples to get ready, relax, spend time with their favorite people, and maybe even stay the night.

It’s small, it’s dated, and it needs a whole lot of love. But I can see the potential, and I can’t wait to bring it to life!

Demolition with Neilson Construction starts tomorrow, and I’m planning to bring you along for the whole adventure. There will be plenty of DIY projects, design decisions, before-and-afters, and probably a few surprises along the way.

Still hoping to get married in 2026? We still have some really good dates open — and all remaining 2026 dates are currently 50% off. 🤍

That means October full-day rentals are $900, and November + December full-day rentals are $800. That gives you Hummingbird Hall from 9am–11pm, with the historic chapel, Lower Hall and private fenced lawn, plus tables and chairs included.

The calendars below show our current availability — crossed-out dates are already spoken for.

Cinnamon rolls, bingo, a juggler, and a whole lot of laughing.

Jay + Finn’s reception was such a fun example of what we love about weddings at Hummingbird Hall: there really isn’t one right way to celebrate here.

They filled the Hall with family and friends, games around the tables, time outside on the lawn, lots of color, and a tower of cinnamon rolls instead of a traditional wedding cake. And, yes, there really was a juggler. 😊

Every couple brings something completely different to this little old Hall, and we love getting to see what they make of it!

Maybe you thought you’d missed your chance for a 2026 wedding. Maybe you just got engaged. Maybe you realized you’d rather get married sooner than spend another year planning. 🤍

If a shorter engagement sounds pretty good right about now, I have a handful of 2026 dates still available — and all remaining 2026 dates are 50% off our full-day venue rental.

That means November + December dates are just $800 for the full day.

You’ll have Hummingbird Hall from 9am–11pm, with the historic chapel, Lower Hall and private fenced lawn all yours for the day. Tables and seating for up to 75 are included, and you’re welcome to bring in the vendors that make sense for your celebration.

And weddings aren’t the only option! If you’ve been looking for a beautiful spot for a holiday party, family gathering or another end-of-year celebration, remaining 2026 dates are fair game for those too.

112 years ago today, people gathered here for the very first time. 🤍

The old records from the Hall say simply:

“September 4th — First meeting at the Hall.”

Construction had begun months earlier, but September 4, 1914 was the first time this little building did what it was built to do — bring people together.

112 years later, that’s still what happens here. Weddings, celebrations, families, friends, music, dinners, laughter… a whole lot has changed, but that part really hasn’t.

Happy 112 years of gathering, Hummingbird Hall. 🤍

Here’s to the people who built it, the people who have cared for it, and everyone who has walked through its doors since.

Madeline + Madison’s wedding was such a beautiful burst of color at Hummingbird Hall. 🤍

Colorful flowers, mismatched dresses, live music, kids running through the lawn—and so much joy woven through the entire day.

Their celebration moved throughout Hummingbird Hall, from a ceremony in the Sanctuary to time outside on the lawn, dinner in the Lower Hall, and dancing back upstairs. I love seeing couples use the different spaces here in ways that feel completely their own.

This gallery is also such a lovely reminder that there really isn't one right way for a wedding to look or feel. Hummingbird Hall is a place for you to bring your people, your personality, and your version of a beautiful day.

McKenna + MacGregor 🤍

I stopped by Hummingbird Hall the morning before their July wedding while they were setting up, and even then I could see how much care and personality they were putting into the day. So getting to see how it all came together through these photos was especially fun.

Their wedding used nearly every part of Hummingbird Hall—from a full chapel ceremony and portraits at nearby Crown Point to lawn games, dinner downstairs, and dancing in the backyard on a beautiful summer evening.

But I think my favorite part is seeing all of their personal touches woven through the day. It felt very much like *their* wedding, which is exactly how it should be.

Congratulations, McKenna + MacGregor. Thank you for choosing Hummingbird Hall to be part of it. 🤍

I love that every wedding at Hummingbird Hall tells a different story.

Allie and Isaac exchanged vows in our little 1914 chapel, then took a short drive to one of the Columbia Gorge's most iconic viewpoints for portraits before returning to celebrate with family and friends.

It's one of my favorite things about being in this part of Oregon. You don't have to choose between the charm of a historic chapel and the beauty of the Gorge—you can enjoy both in the same wedding day.

Congratulations to Allie and Isaac, and thank you for allowing Hummingbird Hall to be part of such a beautiful celebration. Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures together. 🤍

Going through our wedding photos today and realizing how many of my favorite moments weren’t the big centerpiece moments at all.

They were these.

The women who helped shape us, support us, celebrate us, and make the day feel full of love in the first place.

Moms, grandmas, mothers-in-law, chosen family — weddings have a way of reminding you just how much those relationships matter 🤍
