Cool Moon Trail Races

Cool Moon was started by Robert & Linda Mathis after they helped put on the 12 Hour Cool Night Run starting 2007. They had many races in Cool, Auburn, Folsom, Sonoma, Jenkinson Lake & Tahoe. Unfortunately Robert & Linda passed away in 2011. Elemental Running bought all of the Mathis Runs from their family & tried to carry on their tradition. Cathy Mason designed all of Elemental Running’s courses. Jimmy Gabany gave Fourmidable, Ruck A Chuck, Pioneer Spirit & Mokelumne to Paulo Medina & Single Track Running. Jimmy kept Cool Moon 1 more year & then passed it to Gail Thompson & the village in 2016. 2019 the race is passed to Martin Sengo. The Mathis tradition lives on.
