The largest, free-admission, family-friendly festival in Arkansas. May 1-3, 2026 | Downtown Conway
(2)

A quirky name and a commitment to education are at the core of Toad Suck Daze. Founded in 1982, the award-winning festival takes place the first weekend of May and provides funding for education initiatives in Faulkner County. Festivalgoers from across the region – approximately 100,000 during the three-day event – gather in the streets of downtown Conway for food-on-a-stick, local and national entertainment, arts and crafts, activities for kids, and, of course, the World-Famous Championship Toad Races. Several festival-sanctioned events sponsored by local non-profit organizations take place throughout the weekend as well, including a 5K/10K race and the Tour de Toad bicycle race. To date, Toad Suck Daze has contributed more than $1.7 million to scholarships, scholarship endowments, and pre-K funding.

Dolly’s legacy reaches beyond her music. The Faulkner County Imagination Library, a longtime part of the Toad Suck Daze story, continues that legacy by putting books in the hands of local children.

Join fellow Dolly fans at The Max on Friday, Sept. 25, for "Remembering Dolly." Enjoy music and refreshments, all while supporting a great cause. Admission is free!

We’re happy to help spread the word about this special evening benefiting the Faulkner County Imagination Library.

It's pretty cool to see the corndog-to-classroom pipeline flowing as a new school year kicks off! Congratulations, teachers! Hope you have another wonderful year!

And, of course, thanks to everyone who attends Toad Suck Daze every year, and to our incredible sponsors who make giving like this possible and extend the festival's impact well beyond the first weekend in May.

As Dolly once said, "If I'm remembered 100 years from now, I hope it will be not for looks but for books."

Toad Suck Daze has been proud to help fund the Arkansas Imagination Library, a local chapter of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, for several years now, helping more than 4,000 kids right here in Faulkner County receive a free book in the mail every single month.

Dolly started the library in honor of her father, who never learned to read. She understood that education and reading were the key to a better life, stating: "If you can read, even if you can't afford education, you can go on and learn about anything you want to know. There's a book on everything."

We're proud to support the Arkansas Imagination Library and the work it does and will continue to do in Conway, Faulkner County, and across the entire state.

While Dolly may be gone, her books and her legacy will keep landing in mailboxes across Faulkner County for years to come.

The best part of the festival that many people don't get to see. The summer lunch program at the Faulkner County Library has started! Volunteers from First United Methodist Church, Conway, Arkansas prepare more than 100 lunches Tuesday-Thursday every week during the summer.

More than 4,000 people will get a free lunch, craft or lesson, and movie this summer thanks to our amazing program and festival sponsors. Thank you to Goode's Cash Saver and Farris Agency Inc. for contributing to this program.

The festival may have been one month ago, but the community benefits are in full swing. This week more than 100 area students are attending an ACT preparation course coordinated by UCA Outreach & Community Engagement and Conway Public Schools.

These students will receive instruction and test-taking strategies from University of Central Arkansas faculty and alumni. Higher scores means more scholarship dollars for families. And it’s all possible because of our festival and sponsors. Kudos to these students for sacrificing a little bit of their summer for academic excellence!

This year at Toad Suck Daze, we introduced a brand-new volunteer initiative, the Junior Toad Council! This special volunteer team was created to help support the festival wherever needed most!

We loved piloting this new volunteer initiative and are so thankful for the energy and hard work this group brought to the festival.

We were thrilled to have dozens of kids and their families at the festival for our Bargain Brothers Green Ticket Toadal Kid Experience!

These elementary-aged kids got a behind-the-scenes look at Toad Suck Daze, touring the different parts of the festival, speaking with volunteers and vendors, racing toads, and getting plenty of opportunities to enjoy Toad Suck Daze! Thanks to Bargain Brothers for making this experience possible!
