The wait is over... kinda. Due to the extreme hike in fees for holding events in Downtown Conroe we cannot afford to throw concerts off Main St at this time.

Soo we've been searching for a place in town to build something new and we think we've found it. There are still some details to work out before making a grand announcement, but we can safely say Emo is not dead and Elder Emo Night will be throwing an epic show October 3rd 2026! THANK YOU TO ALL THE ELDER EMO'S WHO SIGNED THE PETITION AND CAME OUT THURSDAY TO SUPPORT OUR CONCERT SERIES IN DOWNTOWN CONROE! 🖤🤘

We made our voices heard and filled the pews of City Council… and they actually listened and threw out the $1300 fee for now. There will be another meeting in January to raise fees and ELDER EMO NIGHT TEXAS will be there standing with Conroe small businesses to ensure they don't overestimate their costs again. Until then we will celebrate democracy with all of our fans who signed the petition and stood by us!

🚨Attention all Elder Emos of Conroe and Beyond🚨
Our friends Dragon Bowl C noodle bar have brought to our attention some new city rules that pretty much spells the end of Elder Emo Night in downtown Conroe. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION WHILE WE RANT FOR A BIT....

As many of you have heard our Elderest Emo complain about in the past, the street permitting process in downtown Conroe has been the NUMBER ONE issue with throwing our concerts. And now the City of Conroe has decided in their great wisdom to kill off all street events downtown by increase the permitting fee from $35 to $1300 per block! Our bands cost $1k-$2k each. There is not a single service the city has provided for our past concert that would remotely warrant a $1300 fee. And in fact, their convoluted permit process has cost us THOUSANDS of dollars in unfulfilled vendor contracts and prepaid services never used all because the city cannot meet deadlines they set for themselves.

Quick Google search on prices of other BIG city street closure permits:
New York City Permits start at $25
New Orleans $90 per block
Houston $66
Dallas $0-$150 for up 800 people
Austin $200 per block
Conroe $1300 per block?

Thousands of dollars a year in commerce and community partnership is being pull from downtown businesses and pushed to the outskirts of the loop. Elder Emo Night has been approached by breweries and icehouses who want to hold our concerts at their establishments FOR FREE! But leaving downtown doesn't change the business model. There was once a huge festival downtown that was pushed out by the city, and their attempts to reboot elsewhere didn't go so well. Now that the biggest player is gone, the city is just sweeping up the little guys. No more anime festivals. No more Emo Night concerts. No more Oktoberfest. Farmers Markets? Crafters? Parades? Is this what the community wants for their downtown?

Please take a moment to sign this petition and help the businesses downtown fight for their right to use the streets they live on, work at, and pay for. We will continue to stand with our partners downtown, but if this fee stays Elder Emo Night will be priced out of downtown. 🖤

Message from Carlos owner of Elder Emo Nights: We are heartbroken to announce we are canceling our Oct 25th Halloween concert. There are a lot of reasons why and some I will mention in further detail, but none of them are due to the venue, bands, or the fans. I take full responsibility for this decision, and I am sorry to everyone who had their hopes up for a really good time.

TL;DR We didn't want to give up on the street concert model but couldn't get the permit, made concessions, started late, rushing through things, made more concessions, and by the time we hit the point of no return... determined the best path forward for Elder Emo Night and the fan base was to cancel and postpone concerts till 2026, giving us time to book more bands, get a better stage, and bringing amazing shows to the Elder Emo Night fans.

When our July concert’s venue closed, Timberline Crossing saved the show. Last month when we could not navigate the municipal red tape and competing interests downtown to secure a permit, they once again stepped in to help at the last minute again. Shosty was promoting the show all over, and the was scheduled to be interviewed by our dear friend Mombie Rella for media promos. Everyone was all in, and as the head of this organization, I am sorry I failed you.

And you the fans have shown up every time. In just our first two events we have sold over 600 tickets! To a tribute concert! In Downtown Conroe! This is no small task. We see you. We love you. You deserve this. We didn't want to let go of the dream and so we pushed it as far as we could.

But at this time, we are nowhere close to where we need to be on the planning, production, marketing, vendors, etc.... We have to roll the dice with bad odds and if we fail, we lose all the capital and professional following we have built over two successful concerts.

And so we have made the decision to right the ship and chart a new course. Elder Emo Night will be back EMO IS NOT DEAD! We just need to give ourselves more time to build the kind of show you all deserve, which will likely be in 2026. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 🖤🤘

🚨It's another edition of 'Meet the band Monday' starting with our Oct 25th Spooktacular Halloween Rockfest headliners Shosty! We got a chance to chit chat with members of the band for a small interview to help introduce to the .

Let's start with the names of everyone in the band.
"Megan is on lead vocals, Dylan on the drums, and Jose on guitar."

So when and how did Shosty come together?
"We were founded in January 2023. Megan and Dylan met at a karaoke bar back in 2022 and when Dylan was considering starting a band, he hit Megan up for lead vocals. We met Jose through mutual friends in another local band, and he was an instant fit."

Where you'd get that name?
"Shosty is Dylan’s mini dachshund! She is our fearless mascot and she may be at the show!"

Who are your musical Inspiration?
"Our current biggest inspirations and influences are Paramore, My Chemical Romance, & Fall Out Boy. The music we cover is the music of our childhood that we grew up with it, so those artists are most influential for us."

What piqued your interest about teaming up with Elder Emo Night to perform for live music fans in Conroe?
"We don’t get to play a ton of shows on the north side, so we wanted to connect with our fans up there. Plus, anything Jack Skellington has us written all over it!"

So then you've heard there's a Tim Burton themed costume contest at the concert. Can we expect themed outfits or costumes from the band?
"We will be dressed in themed outfits, yes!"
