Soul train... a whole vibe

Four years running now, and Concord's Juneteenth in the Park keeps proving what makes this city special. Neighbors gathering, kids running around, good food, live music, all in honor of a day that means so much: the end of slavery in the U.S. and the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our history.

I'm proud of the community we're building here in Concord, one where we show up for each other, learn together, and celebrate together.

Thank you to everyone who came out on June 27 to make this year's event another one to remember. Here's to many more.

We may not be city funded but we definitely hold a space for some city council members and for that we are forever grateful. Not only do they support, serve and stand united with the black community they are present.
