The Christmas Tree Lighting fundraising is very slow. I am need of $7,000 to cover all the expenses. I am hopeful that in the coming weeks donations will increase. This year promises to be a great event as usual. I am trying to have Tandy's do something different in Eagle Square fort the adults. Please send a donation to the Christmas Tree Lighting, PO Box 1482, Concord, NH 03302. I have a tax ID number should you need it I am looking for someone to do face painting at the plaza, also someone to do posters for us to place around town, businesses etc. WJYY is working very close as well as Intown Concord. Thank you to those who have sent a donation. Fireworks are all set for the cornfield behind Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Please contact me at 496=2917 for information.

The planning has begun in earnest. It may be early but donations need to be received. The Rowley Insurance has become the annual first major donor. The Brian Waldron Music Show will be the feature on the main stage on the plaza. The horse drawn wagon rides, a new petting zoo will be on the lawn this year as permits have been obtained. There are additional, new activities being planned for kids, Santa Claus will arrive and WJYY will coordinate the fireworks following the lighting of the tree.

There is not much to report. I will be starting to fundraise next month. it will be November 29, day after Thanksgiving. i am intending to add a few more activities, but until i get a confirmation, I don't want to announce it. i hope you know it will be a great time.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration is all set for this Friday, day after Thanksgiving by tradition/ The Uncle Donny's Family Petting Zoo is from Derry and is new. They will be arriving by 3:30 p.m. due to the snow, they will be located on the granite walkway near the statues with the animals on hay, there wil be many animals to pet, including ponies to ride; on Capitol Street next to the State House, will be Bruce Locke and his team of draft horses and two wagons to offer rides. Santa Claus arrives at 5 p.m. Brian Waldron and his band will be entertaining with holiday music and more; The tree lights at 6 p.m. and then fireworks light the skies over Concord. All the activities start at 4 p.m. Governor Chris Sununu will be joining us, there will be hot coffee, hot chocolate, hot apple cider , and more.
