Hello fellow classmates! Some of you may have read on the alumni page that "we" class of 78 have lost two classmates. Nick Storr and Dean Colomb. Please keep their families and friends in your hearts and memories.

Hello Classmates of 1978! We are going to get a jump on the next reunion. Yes I realize that our 50th will be in 2028. However in order to get it fully organized and exactly what you all want, it would be helpful for you to tell us. So I will throw out some questions to you all. What time of the year would be the best. It has already been determined that a Dinner/Dance is the first thing on the list. Should we see about a Picnic the following day? We can always reach out to the CVHS Alumni group and see if they would like to to do this? Or we can keep it to our year of 78. Would you all prefer that the reunion be at a hotel? That way we don't have any issues about responsible drinking?? We want to make the 50th a weekend to remember.

Stephen D. “Steve” Marshall
June 29, 1959 – July 28, 2021
Steve Marshall Marshall passed away from pancreatic cancer on a “bucket list” trip to Greece, with his beloved daughter by his side. Born in Denver, CO and raised Concord, CA,.
Steve was predeceased by his father, Howard Marshall, and is lovingly survived by his mother Jeanne Marshall, his daughter Julia Marshall and his siblings Greg, Kent, and Matt Marshall. He will also be deeply missed by his nine nieces and nephews, his close friends, and his friend & former wife, Danielle.
Steve was struck with wanderlust at an early age and had traveled the world as a travel professional. He was devoted father, a lover of food and wine, a colorful raconteur, an epic party thrower, and a frequent handy-man helper to anyone in need. Steve never knew a stranger. Once you met him, you knew him forever as a zealous and interesting man.
The family would like to thank the Athens Medical Group for their tender care of Steve in his final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 5, 2021, the Labor Day weekend, at his family’s Oregon coast home.

Hello fellow classmates. Unfortunately David Barnett lost his long time battle with cancer early Sunday morning. He fought this battle with dignity and grace. Let us all provide strength and love to his family and friends. The world has lost a good one.

Classmates,

On behalf of the Reunion Committee, we hope this finds you doing well.

For those of you who couldn't make it to the Reunion, you were missed, and for those who were able to attend, from your calls, messages and texts, after all our planning, we are thrilled to hear and read, you had a great time and enjoyed the Reunion! The feedback has been wonderful and it has been clearly communicated... you do not want to wait until our 50th to get together again!

As you know, an event is only successful if we are able to reach out to as many classmates as possible. Here's where we need your help, please let fellow classmates know for them to be included on any class gatherings in the future, email addresses are imperative. If they haven't sent their email address to: [email protected], please stress the importance of email addresses being added to the Master Email List. As of right now, the Master Email List has almost 100 CURRENT email addresses!

We would like to take the time to extend a few thanks...
To Steve Riccobono, thank you for everything you did to organize and provide music throughout the night and on our feet dancing the night away!
To Jeff Barnett, your beautiful voice and singing, thank you for sharing a special moment and memory with us!
To Suzy Russell Bell, though your time and obligations to your family were necessary during the Reunion planning process, we appreciated all you did to get the word out on Social Media when your help was needed on Classmates.com and CVHS pages. Thank you!

To all the classmates who attended the Reunion, your attendance and excitement made the Reunion the success it was! What a milestone celebration we had!

2 days until the reunion! Special thanks to Kathy, Joel, Mickie, and David for their great work on the committee- especially Kathy!

Remember to bring any memorabilia to share as we’ll bring some elementary school copied photos, a computer to view or senior yearbook (and to maybe dig up some info), and anything else we might think to share from our school years. Looking forward to seeing some OLD friends!

Hello classmates! I told Ed Moresi that we will be out in full force Friday night before the reunion. So the Chop House and the Grill will be expecting us. He will also let Skipolinis know that the Clayton valley class of 78 is in the house!

Hey Gang! Specifically, our GANG of 1978 as we're a couple of weeks away from our 40th! I got to talk to the Mighty Ray Santucci today, which by the way was great about many things.

However, what got me thinking was Ray and probably many others are flying in on Thursday or Friday morning. If some people want to, message me and we can do something like a late lunch/dinner on Friday.

OR, if some people want to play some golf or something like that, let me know and I can try and schedule a time. I know we may get busy at the reunion and not get to visit with everyone so maybe those who want to can get together the day before.

Also, remember the class of 1980 (See the post below) is also having a BBQ at Heather Farms the next day (Sunday) and are aiming it for people from around 1976 to 1982 or so.

Really excited to see some OLD friends in a couple of weeks. I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the gift that is your life... :-)

We have been able to extend our deadline to Friday, August 24th to send in your payment for our 40th Class Reunion!

We will not have another deadline extension from the Hilton... if you want to go and not miss out on the celebration on Saturday, September 29th, don't wait to send in your payment!!

Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS to the maximum room capacity number and with this event being a "Sit Down Dinner", we will not be able to accommodate "walk-ups" the night of the Reunion.
