Big things are happening in Concord! This week you've got 2 opportunities to support local businesses who invest time and time again in their community and in local artists!

First up, catch us at Prism, a new and versatile community space where we will be celebrating with snacks, raffles, drag performances and more!

Announcing the Judges for the Give Me Liber-Tea Ball!

These individuals are titans in the LGBTQ+ community , bringing years of experience, expertise, and a deep appreciation for the art of vogue.

First, we have the legendary Sasha Stone, known for her iconic presence and unwavering dedication to the community. Sasha is known not only for her exemplary work with Big Gay Events but she is also known for being Miss Gay New England. Her critiques are as sharp as her style, and her insights are invaluable!

Next, we welcome the renowned Bowtie Daily, a community-driven master of fashion and Board Chair of BAPOC!

Finally, we are thrilled to have the esteemed artist and co-founder of Positive Street Art, Cecilia Ulibarri whose wit, knowledge, and passion for ballroom culture make her a true icon in the scene.

These judges will be scoring the categories, including Runway, Face and Vogue and will be looking for creativity, ex*****on, and the embodiment of the patriotic theme.

Get ready to werk it, y'all! We're serving up a fireworks display of categories at our Give Me Liber-Tea vogue ball on July 5th! Get your flags and fans, because we're about to celebrate the land of the free and the home of the fierce!

This is going to be a night of community and pure American fabulousness. Categories include:

Stars & Stripes Runway: Strut your stuff in your most patriotic ensemble. Think red, white, and blue realness! Channel your inner fashion icon and show us what American style means to you.

Liberty Bell Face: Show us your stunning face! This category is all about showcasing your best features. Think eyes, teeth, skin, structure, and nose. Sell us the fantasy!

American Dream Body: Show off your physique! This category is all about celebrating your body shape with flattering moves and poses and revealing outfits.

AND MORE! No pre-registration is needed to walk categories and each one is open to ALL who are interested in competing.

We're so excited to see you on 7/5 at BNH Stage!

Adult Drag Story Hour was FANTASTIC!! We had an excellent time reading The Taking Tree by Shrill Travesty, taking in awesome drag performances by Sybill Disobedience and being in community with each other!

Congratulations to our raffle and mini-game winners, and thank you for supporting Capital City Pride! Your contributions will go directly to supporting all of the local artists and performers we work with this summer.

It's Pride and the Library is OPEN!! Join us tonight at Penumbra Concord for a unique drag story hour event- this one is for the grown-ups! Your donation gets you access to a saucy Story, photo-op, games and an exclusive performance, and all proceeds support Capital City Pride initiatives.

Get ready to sashay your way into a fabulous evening! 💖 Join us for a Drag Story Hour exclusively for adults! We're bringing the glitter, the glamour, and the good times to raise funds for Capital City Pride!

This isn't your average story time. We're talking fierce performances, hilarious readings, and maybe even a dance party or two! Think of it as a chance to celebrate community, embrace your inner child, and support a fantastic cause.

We know that this Pride Month feels different. The state of the world has made it difficult to feel pride, joy and belonging. Throughout history our most triumphant moments have arrived amidst extraordinary adversity- we have reached out to each other for strength, inspiration, and safety. We will continue to build community and hope with you this Pride and beyond.
