ThunderDash is different from similar obstacle course races/OCR events because it is an all natural environment on a beautiful private property in the Texas Hill Country. ThunderDash is a 5K mud run with obstacles that include, but are not limited to mud climbing, mud crawling, mud jumping, etc. Located on a beautiful piece of land outside of Comfort, Texas with natural mud pits, 30 foot deep quar

ries to climb in and out of and much much more. The obstacles are man-made, nature-made, man-made natural obstacles, and naturally man-made obstacles. Many of the obstacles will encourage team efforts for easier completion so call your buddies and sign up today. ThunderDash also offers a 5K Fitness Challenge that has you complete a 5K trail run with “Fitness Stations” located along the route spaced about 1/2 mile apart. No Mud or Obstacles but still the great challenge that ThunderDash is known for. Expect a 5K course on well-worn and groomed jeep trails through coastal and bermuda hay fields with stations where you will have to complete basic “Boot camp” style calisthenics. We’ll probably warm you up with some jumping jacks or maybe some squats but you can count on the evil BURPEE somewhere along the course. You won’t set a 5K PR but you will finish with a great sense of accomplishment and massive bragging rights. Call it what you want….mob run, obstacle run, mud run, it all equals lots and lots of fun!

At ThunderDash, strength isn’t just about powering through mud pits and climbing obstacles - it’s about resilience. Just like the wildflowers that bloom across the working rock quarry that our course is on, you’ll face the elements, push through the mud, and come out stronger on the other side. 🌸

Last year’s medals were cut from rock found on the course (did you know we are on a working rock quarry?!). This year, we’re playing around with steel and leather. We’re proud to live, work and play in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It’s not only home for ThunderDash, it’s where we have called home forever too. This year’s medals will also include a HILL COUNTRY STRONG inscription 💚
