Please join the Regional Volleyball Association Assembly in welcoming three newly appointed leaders within the USA Volleyball Regions! We’re excited to work alongside them as they step into their new roles and continue supporting the volleyball community.

Welcome back Ron Wyzynski, who has returned to lead the Ohio Valley Region as Commissioner, succeeding Brian Hofman, who concluded his tenure in May 2026. Congratulations, Ron!

🏐 Palmetto Region
Congratulations to Linnea Wolf, who has been named Commissioner as Jimmy Peden begins his transition toward retirement. We’re excited to welcome Linnea into her new role and extend our appreciation and best wishes to Jimmy!

Welcome Edwin Weathersby II, replacing Cindy Compoc who transitioned from the role. Edwin has been appointed the Puget Sound Region’s new CEO/Commissioner, effective October 12. Congratulations, Edwin!

The Ohio Valley Region congratulates Linnea Wolf as she begins her next chapter as Commissioner and CEO of the Palmetto Region of USA Volleyball.

Linnea has made an incredible impact during her time with OVR, helping transform our media and marketing presence, strengthen partnerships, elevate our events, and find new ways to engage and celebrate our athletes, clubs and volleyball community.

While we’re certainly sad to see her go, we’re also incredibly proud to see one of our own step into this opportunity to lead another USA Volleyball Region.

The Palmetto Region is excited to officially welcome Linnea Wolf as our new Commissioner and CEO!

Linnea brings a strong background in sports management, volleyball leadership, marketing, communications, event operations and member engagement. Most recently, she led media, marketing and engagement for one of USA Volleyball’s largest Regions, where she built a nationally recognized digital presence, developed major partnerships and sponsorship activations, enhanced region events and helped connect thousands of members with the sport they love.

She also brings experience as a coach, club director and Region board member, giving her a unique perspective on the needs of athletes, families, clubs, coaches and officials.

Most importantly, Linnea comes to Palmetto with big ideas, tremendous energy and a genuine passion for growing volleyball throughout South Carolina.

📣 OVR BOARD OF DIRECTORS | CALL FOR CANDIDATES EXPANDED

The Ohio Valley Region Nominations and Elections Committee has expanded its current Call for Candidates to fill two vacancies on the OVR Board of Directors.

Following the Board’s acceptance of Samantha Rexroad’s resignation in August, the Board has now also accepted the resignation of Linnea Wolf and authorized the Nominations and Elections Committee to include the resulting vacancy in the search and selection process already underway.

The Committee will conduct one candidate process for both open seats, with the Board appointing two individuals from the certified candidate pool to serve the remainder of the respective unexpired terms.

Interested candidates should submit:
• A current résumé
• A cover letter outlining their interest in serving and the experience they would bring to the OVR Board

The Ohio Valley Region is now accepting applications from OVR members interested in serving on the OVR Board of Directors and completing the remainder of a vacant term.

📅 Application Period: August 24 – September 15, 2026

Following the application period, the Nominations and Elections Committee will review submissions and certify a slate of qualified candidates for consideration by the Board.

🏨 Hotel room blocks for the 2026-2027 season are now officially open through our housing partner, EventConnect! 🎉

EventConnect powers our easy-to-use accommodations portal, where teams can quickly hold and reserve rooms with their lodging partner of choice. 🛏️ Teams will receive access to the housing portal within 1-2 business days of registering in the AES system. 📧

⚠️ Please note that starting this season, all OVR events at the Greater Columbus Convention Center will follow a strict stay-to-play policy. Teams located more than 75 miles from the Greater Columbus Convention Center must book through EventConnect and fulfill a minimum of six hotel room reservations per day of competition. 🏨 Acceptance into the event is contingent upon meeting all registration requirements, including payment, roster submission, and the required hotel room nights through EventConnect. ✅ Teams that do not meet these requirements by the registration deadline will not be accepted until all requirements are fulfilled.
