The grounds surrounding the music will feature live art by some of the region’s most talented graffiti writers, food trucks, a kids art area, spaces for local vendors, and more. 2x2 2026 is no different. The young ones will have an opportunity to not just see the elements on display but participate in them.

2x2 isn’t 2x2 without the breaking battles. So Bboys & Bgirls, the battle details you’ve been waiting for, are here!

We’ve got the entire day on the breaking stage stacked.

First up, SCHOOL VS SCHOOL BATTLE. Winning school takes home $1,000 cash!
- 3-5 students will team up with their teacher to compete against schools from around the country.
- the School vs School battle is FREE to compete

Now, for our OG battle format, the 2v2 BREAKING BATTLE open to breakers of all ages. Battling for a $1,500 cash prize.
- we’ll have early bird signups on in the coming weeks and you can also signup day of at the festival. $20 to battle.

- The legendary Breaking & MC Battles
- Live painting AND tattooing!
- The freshest vendors in the Midwest

That’s right. 2x2 was always free for the kids, but this year you get this insanely dope experience absolutely free whether you’re 8 or 80!
