Back in 2024, at our very first festival, we had the pleasure of having Danny Maupin perform his popular Late Late Breakfast show. While we didn't know him well, we're saddened to hear of his passing. His show was recommended by several comedy friends as a "must have" for our fest and we were thrilled that he was willing to give our silly little startup festival a chance in year one and bring his comedy talents to our city. RIP.

Now that year three is a wrap (and we’ve all hopefully had a few extra hours of sleep) a HUGE thank you goes out to every performer, attendee, venue, volunteer, sponsor, producer, planner, bar staff, industry friends, and every single person in between that played a role in making this year’s event a success. While 2024 and 2025 were a lot of fun, it really felt like everything clicked into place in 2026 and we cannot wait for next year!

More robust thank yous and shout outs are coming in the next few days. Long live the Columbus Comedy Scene. You’re all amazing and we can’t do it without you.

More thoughts from Jason Chatfield Cartoonist on this year's festival experience:

Three performers explain how they make a living in the arts. One of them has a puppet.
