Film, Author and Photography Festival The Festival is for new and veteran filmmakers, authors, music artists and photographers. The Columbus F.A.P.

The objective of the Columbus Film, Author and Photography Festival is to showcase artists locally, nationally and internationally while highlighting the work of our youth. Festival is for new and veteran filmmakers, authors that want to see their books go from the page to the big screen, artists that have music videos, and photographers that want to showcase their work.

An important update for our festival family ❤️

After much thought and careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to postpone the Columbus Film, Author & Photography Festival, originally scheduled for October 14–18, 2026, until spring 2027.

Over the past year, I have poured my heart and countless hours into bringing this festival to life. Making the decision to postpone has been difficult, but it is necessary to support the festival’s future and the vision behind it.

The new dates will be announced soon. Ticket holders, submitters, speakers, vendors, and volunteers will receive additional information about next steps.

To everyone who has supported this vision—whether you purchased a ticket, submitted your work, shared a post, or offered your time—thank you. I know this change may affect your plans, and I appreciate your patience and understanding.

The vision is still alive, and my commitment to celebrating creativity and providing opportunities for our community remains strong.

Thank you for continuing to walk with me as we move forward. ❤️

What does moving forward look like after surviving the unthinkable? This film follows a school shooting survivor as she faces grief, survivor’s guilt, and an uncertain future.

Director Ryan, a 23-year-old filmmaker from Cochrane, Alberta, working with CHANCE PRODUCTIONS wanted to explore the unexpected ways people experience grief. He also credits lead actor Yana Maico for the heart and strength she brought to the film, both on camera and behind the scenes.

🎬📸 DOCUMENTARY SPOTLIGHT — WATCH THE TRAILER!

The photographer who fooled the KGB, exhibited portraits at MoMA and then walked away from photographing people.

This fascinating documentary follows renowned photographer Nathan Farb, whose groundbreaking 1977 journey to Siberia became part of a remarkable story connecting photography, art, the Cold War, Russia and America.

Decades later, Farb returns to Siberia shortly before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, searching for the people he photographed in 1977 and capturing a society unknowingly standing on the brink of war.

The film moves between New York, Siberia and the Adirondack Mountains, exploring not only Farb’s extraordinary work, but the artist himself his influences, relationships and evolution from portrait photographer to master of landscape.

🎥 The director describes the film as moving between road movie, artist portrait and political thriller a documentary that refuses to fit neatly into one box.
