Today, we are thrilled to celebrate a HUGE milestone for Columbia Main Street as our program has officially achieved NATIONAL ACCREDITATION!
This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and vision that has gone into building and growing our Main Street program over many years. We are incredibly proud to continue building on the strong foundation laid before us, while also celebrating the tremendous progress and accomplishments made over the last two years.
From revitalization efforts and community events to business support and downtown improvements, this achievement belongs to our entire community. It is proof that small towns can do BIG things when people work together and believe in their downtown.
We are honored to receive this designation and grateful for every volunteer, board member, business owner, partner, sponsor, and supporter who has helped move Columbia forward.
A special thank you to Billy Nungesser Lt. Governor of Louisiana and Louisiana Main Street for announcing this exciting achievement. We would also like to thank Glen D. Womack, State Senator, District 32 and Neil Riser for continued support of our program and all Louisiana Main Street communities.
The future is bright for Main Street Columbia— and we are just getting started! 🇺🇸✨
Nineteen Louisiana communities have been recognized as Accredited Main Street America programs for their work in preservation-based economic development and downtown revitalization.
