After a long debate the decision to suspend the 10/19 Lakeshore Long Run and Harvest Hustle 5k/10k was made. We will be holding these races in 2025 with a different date that will work better for the region. Will post a note over the next couple months when the date has been chosen by the committee.

Good news travels fast!

A half-marathon, a 5k and a 10k are set to take place in the Village of Colon this fall and will use funds raised to contribute to a community scholarship program.

The 2024 Legion Full Battle Rattle Triathlon in Colon, Michigan has been cancelled for this year. Originally scheduled for July 19, 2024 the triathlon race event will resume in 2025 with a new look and site location.
The 2024 Legion Full Battle Rattle Triathlon located on Palmer Lake Colon, Michigan was cancelled May 5, 2024 by the Race Director. Cancellation for the 2024 race was due to course safety risks and time constraints that negatively impacted transition site, swim location, and bike course safety falling outside the required USA Triathlon guidelines. “For the safety of everyone that participates to include those who volunteer, the decision was made to cancel the race for this year”, said Tim Haidl, triathlon race director. Look for the 2025 Legion Full Battle Rattle Triathlon to be announced this coming Summer with a new look and better venue.

Get signed up and on the calendar!! 8/24/2024 is the first annual VanWinkle 5k run/walk. As this builds get your shoes dusted off and ready to do this! Get your old classmates together, cross country teammates as bragging rights and a little competition may be in order. All donations to be made day of race and will go toward memorial scholarship.

The VanWinkle Memorial 5k run/walk is on Saturday August 24, 2024.
