If Covington County had a queen, I think Mrs. Gwen Hitt would qualify for the role! We were honored to host a birthday party in her honor this past weekend. It was organized by her dear friend, Mrs. Dianne Speed. These two have been morning walking partners for years. There’s no telling what stories their walking shoes could tell!!

Mrs. Gwen was a dear friend to Mama Rose. She was the counselor at CMS when Kristen and I were in school and lended a listening ear more than once. She helped cultivate our love for various music genres. We probably still owe her money for all the quarters we borrowed. lol

June 10th is her actual birthday. If you get a chance between now and then, drop her a message. It’s amazing the effect a kind word can have… a lesson she taught us and lives by herself!

Troy and Jana Roberts have been friends of ours for as long as I can remember! We all met working at Mack’s Fish Camp years ago. Mama Rose encouraged Jana to give Troy a second glance… and the rest is history! It was an honor to have them celebrate their 25th Wedding Anniversary at TA&R last weekend. May there be many more years to celebrate!! 🤍

We had five outstanding young ladies apply for the Rosemary Mooney Memorial Scholarship. They were asked to submit an essay on who has inspired them the most. One sentence stood out to Kristen & I both. “No one is going to do your work for you. You are responsible for your own success.” It was written by Collins High School Graduate, Miss Jacey Mangrum. Today we attended the CHS Senior Breakfast to present Jacey with her award. We want to wish success to her and all 2022 graduates! 💚🐯

Charcuterie displays can be full of exciting meats & cheeses, but we kept these quite simple. I did add fruit infused honey sticks! Pretty excited about trying them myself! 😍

Today we were honored to serve Collins Elementary teachers and staff! A huge thank you to Mooney Magee for putting all the food together.

Our mother’s favorite saying was, “When love is felt, the message is heard.” There is no doubt that these ladies love their students. Thank you for all you do! 🐅💚🤍
