Cody Highland Game Fans-
It is with a fair amount of remorse that Mary and I have made the decision to cancel this year's games. We are just far too busy, and frankly, wore out from our work season to host the Games to the quality we would like to have.
Our hope is that prior to next year, we can finally formalize a board or committee that can work with us to keep this event going, but for this year, we have to pass.

Please keep following this page for more information going forward, and give it some thought if you'd like to get involved for the future.

Hey Highland fans!!!

Are you surviving spring/winter???

Well, the summer is going to fly by, so we wanted to get this out early-
We are looking for people interested in serving on the Cody Highland Games board of directors!!

Mary and I are just too busy with the rest of our lives, we still want to host and MC it, but we would LOVE to turn over the management of the games to people who want to help it grow!!

Tomorrow morning, check and final registration will be at the west (left) end of the Grandstand seating, look for the handicap seating area, our score keeper will be there.

HIGHLAND FANS!!!
We are ONE WEEK AWAY!!!
The GAMES ARE ON!!!

This is Mark, everyone, and I wanted to take a moment to explain some of the recent activity. Mary and I have pretty much pushed this event for the last 3 years, and it has grown to be bigger than the 2 of us can handle! Add to that, our real business, Nelson Log Restoration, has been going through massive growth too!

Both of these are good things, but both can be overwhelming by themselves, added together, we had too much on our plate!! So, we almost had to cancel the Games....

But!! Many of you have stepped up, volunteered and made it possible!! BIG shout out to Maggie for handling it for us!!! And just so everyone knows, going forward, we are looking to form a committee to organize this, so if interested, let us know!!

Now onto the fun stuff:
9am - 4pm, Saturday, October 1st at the Cody Rodeo grounds, admission is FREE for spectators, competitors - $20 entry.

The Fresh Prince of Steaks, Hawg Heaven, Rocky Mountain Mudd and Beartooth Kettle Korn will be there for food, Pat O'Hara's will have a BEER GARDEN for your adult beverages!! Bring extra cash and support our local peeps!
Also, we will have buckets out to take donations for Parker DeFord's medical bills, PLEASE support this!! Will and Nicole were with us at the very first Games!!

Hello Highland fans, this is Mark, as many of you probably know, Parker Deford was struck in a hit and run by a truck, his medical bills will be quite high! Will and Nicole were with us at the very beginning, they are like family to us!!!

We will be taking donations at the games Saturday, October 1st to do what we can to help this great family out!!!

Please consider bringing any extra money you can spare, look for the donation buckets we will put out, and ALL money will be taken directly to the bank account for their needs. I will look into who to make the checks out to and follow up with that information.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for everyone that has offered to volunteer! You all are awesome! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

At this point, we really need help with setting up Friday the 30th (time TBD) So if you’re hefty & wanna help loads some things, let us know! 💪🏼

Next we need help with scoring the day of the event. So if you’re good with math & calm under pressure (Maggie excluded), again, please let us know! 🤓

Lastly, we NEED more competitors!! We have 5 signed up currently, with room for 30 total. If we don’t get more, I’m just not sure how this even will be possible. So SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! Please help us pass the word 📣

‼️ ATTENTION‼️

We are two weeks away from the games!

We are DESPERATE for volunteers for this years Highland Games. Mark and Mary have put in SO much time, effort and resources and they simply cannot continue to shoulder this event. If you’d like to help, PLEASE contact us.

We only have 4 competitors signed up and paid for. We need more than that to make this event fun! If you are interested in competing, reach out today, because we will NOT be taking competitors the day of.

To be completely honest, we’re considering canceling the games. We are torn, because it is such a fun, free event for families, but we simply cannot keep doing it ourselves.

Please contact us, and Maggie and Sadie will explain the help we need.

HERE IT COMES!!!
4th annual Highland Games!!! Free to spectators, food vendors, drinks, etc!

Traditional Highland competition, caber toss, Dinnie Stone, Hammer toss and TONS of Kilts!!

Competitors:
We are limiting this to the first 30 to sign up, entry fee of $20 to be paid back to 1st-3rd placement per class. Class categories of; Men's Open, Men's Master Class (45 yrs and older) and Women's Class. ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR A KILT DURING COMPETITION, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Competitors sign up and prepay entry via Venmo. Contact Mark Nelson to sign up via Facebook Messenger or email at [email protected] NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE, I won't be able to track it!
Get signed up fast, this will fill up!!

Highland Games fans and competitors!
Facebook has been really WEIRD lately! I've been making posts that aren't showing up, hopefully this one does!

We are getting close to our date of October 1st, so if you want to compete, we need you to sign up ASAP!!
We are limiting it to 30 this year and would prefer having everyone signed up in advance of the actual day. In order to sign up, entry fee of $20 can be sent via Venmo to -Nelson-199 for most secure sign up.
