“I was by good fortune was born into the Bhakti Tradition. From Childhood I was exposed to The ancient Vedic culture. Kirtan has always been a part of my life. I was born in the United States, but later on moved to the Mystical Land of Vrindavan in India to better understand the Bhakti Culture. I stayed for 4 years in the Ashram In Sri Vrindavan Dham. It was a Life changing experience. The experience has a profound impact on my life. In Vrindavan I met many exalted personalities. I was part of a Musical Group called the Sri Sri Krsna Balaram Mandir 24 Hour Kirtan Mandali in which we had a group of guys that keep kirtan going on in the Krsna Balaram Mandir 24/7. We divide the day into shifts and all take the Responsibility of doing kirtan for a minimum of 6 hours everyday (or more). It was a life changing experience to chant the Holy names for hours everyday. Along with this service I spent a lot of my time deepening my Knowledge in Sastri Sangeet (Indian Classical Music). My first Music teacher was Pandit Tarun Krsna who left his body, after shortly I then took the shelter of my next music teacher Shripad Limbekar of the Gwalior/ Jaipur Gharana. I also studied Mrdanga under Bablu Mahashy of Godrumadwip Mayapur. I am currently living in NYC pursuing my college degree and traveling to many different festivals and events to share Kirtan.”

Raghunath Cappo has been on a spiritual quest in this life! From his teens he started a punk/hardcore band called Youth of Today, which championed the principles of clean living, vegetarian diet, and self-control. By the time he was 21, his band had tens of thousands of fans around the world. He started Revelation Records, an Indy record label with his high school buddy and signed 20 bands with similar beliefs and ethics. He got into spirituality, metaphysics, and mysticism; eagerly consuming spiritual classics, his hunger only increased. This eventually manifested as strong desire to go deeper. The teachings of India drove him East and at age 22, he ended up on an ashram floor in the holy village of Vrindavan. That was 1988 — and one of the best choices he made in his life.
