• Mite 1 – Upper & Lower (Pond Hockey)
• Mite 2 – Upper & Lower (Intermediate Nets)
• 6U – One Level (Pond Hockey)
• 8U – Upper & Lower (Pond Hockey)

Divisions may be adjusted based on registrations.

2026–2027 Age Levels:
• 6U / Mite 1: June 1, 2019 – May 31, 2021
• 8U / Mite 2: June 1, 2017 – May 31, 2019

Enjoy the ride! It goes by fast.

Jordy Sewell and Brahm Snesrud (Lumberjacks) along with their buddy Kolby Hedley (Rock Ridge) spent a lot of time on the ice reffing last weekend. They are all now playing HS Hockey.

They all started out just like the kiddos playing now.

The 218 Hockey Community is the true and best example of what Minnesota Hockey is all about! From the youngest Mites learning to love the game to the high school players representing their towns with pride, the passion and support here is unmatched. Good luck to all the boys and girls this upcoming season — keep pushing yourselves, keep supporting your teammates, and remember that hard work and having fun always go hand in hand. Here’s to another great year of memories, friendships, and hockey in the Northland!

That’s a wrap on the 2025 Bardown Tournament weekends!

Weekend 1 brought 14 M1/6U and M2/8U teams to Hermantown, and this weekend we closed it out in Cloquet with 16 Sq**rt and Peewee teams. Altogether, we had around 250 kids repping the 218!

Huge thanks to all the Players, Coaches, Fans, and Workers who made it happen. 🙌

• Games played with pond hockey goals (no goalies)

MITE 2 – 6 to 9 skaters plus 1 goalie

• Team Levels:
🔹 **M1 Silver** – Incoming Mini/Ice Mites with hockey understanding, lower-level returners
🔸 **M1 Gold** – Returners at a higher skill level

🏒 **MITE 2 (M2)** 6-9 skaters 1 goalie
• Played with **intermediate nets**
• Team Levels:
🔹 **M2 Silver** – Highest-level incoming skaters to lower-mid 2nd years and goalies
🔸 **M2 Gold** – Top-level 2nd year skaters and goalies

⚠️ Movement between divisions may occur based on team makeup recommendations. Tourney also takes into consideration teams association to offer spots for multiple association representation.

🚨 UPDATE – SQ**RT & PEEWEE DIVISIONS (Sept 19–21) 🚨
We’re excited to announce changes to our fall divisions!
🏒 SQ**RT DIVISION
We’ll be running 3 levels this year:
🔹 Bronze – Incoming Sq**rts, lower-level returners, newer or goalies new to reg. nets
🔸 Silver – High-level 1st years, mid-level returners, goalies with reg. net experience
🏆 Gold – High-level 2nd years and goalies
📢 PEEWEE UPDATE
We’ve removed the Gold level from Peewee. Peewee Silver will run as planned.
📋 Current Status:
✅ Sq**rt Bronze – OPENINGS
❌ Sq**rt Silver – FULL
❌ Sq**rt Gold – FULL
❌ Peewee Silver – FULL
⚠️ No movement expected from Sq**rt Gold.
Sq**rt Silver may shift slightly based on team makeup recommendations.
