For the past 19 years Cessna 150 and 152 owners, pilots, and enthusiasts have gathered at a small airport in the middle of a cornfield to celebrate our little airplane. For a lot of us The Cessna 150-152 Fly-In, or as it’s also known, the Confab in the Corn is the highlight of our summer. This July would have
been the 20th annual event, and we were in the right in the middle of planning a big one. However, conditions across the country this year have changed dramatically due to the Covid-19 virus.

Your Cessna 150-152 Fly-In Foundation stands with local, state, and national leaders in supporting public health practices that will continue to bring this outbreak to a halt. Unfortunately supporting these initiatives means that the 2020 Cessna 150-152 Fly-In will be unable to proceed as originally planned.

Therefore, we have officially cancelled this year’s Fly-In. This decision has not been taken lightly, and we have considered several options, but the fact is we cannot bring over a hundred people to our event, have them mingle together for a week, and then send everyone back home all over the country.

Now, just because the Confab is cancelled, that doesn’t mean your Foundation gets to sit back with nothing to do. We have a several projects in the works. First and foremost, we have been working on a complete overhaul of our website, and that is getting close and will go online soon. We also have another exciting project in the planning stage, and that will be revealed later in the Fall. The Beacon will come out on schedule in June, and we are always looking for articles from the membership to include in our newsletter. And above all, planning for the 2021 Cessna 150-152 Fly-In has already begun.

Mark your calendars and we will see you in Clinton July 21-23, 2021.
