Hey Everyone! So you know our Fitting out party is still happening today at Noon, rain or shine! Sadly, the Cleveland Metroparks Police Marine Unit boat inspections are getting a rain check and are rescheduled to June 20th. Nonetheless, the party at the Marina is still a go! Come on down, grab a hotdog or hamburger and let's have some fun!

Hello everyone,

We're excited to kick off the season and welcome everyone back to the pavilion this Thursday May 7th at 6:30PM for our first regular season meeting.
We are adding a fun 'share a snack' plan to our typical meetings, bring your favorite snack or appetizer to share or just bring your appetite and get ready for lots of great info about our upcoming events. We have had a tremendous start to the 2026 season with some incredible get togethers already and we can't wait to see you THIS THURSDAY!

So I have some information from the Metroparks that will clarify the unrest about the gates at the docks and new locks on the bathrooms. I was told a short bit ago that the gates and fences around the marina will not be moving at all. This means that there will not be a dedicated access road separated out from our parking lot to the west building for sailing, retaining all of our regular parking spaces.

This means that all vehicles headed toward the west sailing building will come through our parking lot secured gates. These will only be buses and transportation vehicles bringing people to the west building for sailing activities and will be accompanied by Metroparks and Foundry employees at all times. These programs are going to run during the week days primarily. The Foundry has not provided the Metroparks with a schedule of their activities yet, but do not anticipate anything starting from them until late summer.

The gates and locks are there to protect our property and boater only spaces. On a side note, our sheds will not be moving this year at all and may not have to be moved in the future either. It depends on the final landscape design for the parkimg lot area. That will not be finalized until next year.

Feel free to message me with any other questions you may have, however, this is all of the info I have specific to the info that went out Monday. I am happy to make other inquiries as they are brought up by our members.

The East Light Yacht Club is getting ready to kick off another amazing season on the water, and we couldn’t be more excited!

From our Fitting-out Party in May all the way through our Halloween Party in October, we’ve got a full lineup of events planned for 2026. Whether you’re here for the fishing, the food, the fun, or just great company—there’s something for everyone this season.

Mark your calendars, invite your friends, and get ready to make some unforgettable memories at the marina!
